Im struggling with what to do next, I never like to ask what gun to
get, but Im in a real jam. The thing is, this topic is a mix between
upgrading and which gun is the best.
When
I was playing just yesterday, I just couldnt take it anymore. It feels
like Im trying to pull a 10 foot gun out of a bunker to fire. I like to
play all types of games, so I could never decide between ups, but this
decided it. I was thinking all day of how to shorten the length,
like a drop and an evil 10 inch pipe set, and it'll be all good, but I
added the cost up and now Im starting to wonder... I have a 98C with a -14 inch Evil Driver barrel, -Hybrid rail and on/off asa -BT adjustable folding stock (dont use it too much though), -and a 68/45 Dye Throttle.
Now
I can shoot faster than anyone I know with a stock mech tipp, but I
cant remain very accurate doing so. So my wishlist would include the
drop, the pipe kit, an inline reg, and possibly an ebolt. And really Im
STILL left behind. I love my tippy, but getting a new gun is just
obviously better for my wallet, right? Hmmm.....
So now
Im thinking either the Proto SLG or a Promaster, but the ICD just
because they're going for cheap. The thing is, I really would like to
have a Proto, as I could trust it will be epic, and the Promaster is
old and I cant trust ICD as much. I also like the tininess of the
SLG.... (why do I love tiny guns so much?)
I dont know, are
there any opinions? I really dont want to spend the loot for a new gun,
but its just smarter... i think... OH DEAR!
Sorry if I rambled, I do that alot : )

You can get used high-end markers at the nation for dirt cheap. 06' models are gong for around 400 now depending on the marker.

I know, I was thinking about getting a used dm4 or dm5, then I started to think about a used mini, and in the end I want something nobody has screwed with. If I could a gun from someone I trused (Like a FRIEND, ie), that would change the story. I cant trust any one on pbnation or even less free-for-all sites like model98.org.

Used is good. I kinda want to sell my 06 minion with tadao board, but I'm not so sure if I want to or not.

Getting a minion cheap and used would be oh my god nice but for example 1. How can I trust how well its been taken care of 2. All these forum sellings I dont dig. I like 3rd parties like ebay or amazon to make sure nobody gets frauded.
Yeah frauded is a word. totally

When you b/s/t on pbnation you can have someone with a good rep be a third party in the trade/sale. You would send your cash to them, and the person you are trading with could ship the marker to them. The person then tests the marker and if it is not DOA they ship the marker to you and the money to the seller.
Also PBN has a feedback section for sellers. So you can look at someone's feedback and know if they are going to screw you.

The same "escrow" or 3rd-party system can be used just about anywhere. MCB (http://www.mcarterbrown.com) is another fantastic site for BST forums. They too have feed-back sections and I've yet to have a bad deal there.

Alright, you guys have convinced me somewhat to just look around pbnation (like I havnt done that before...), just to see if there is a good deal, before I get into whether Ill even buy through this system or not, but its pretty hard. Theres a lot of crap, and Im biased on my guns. The only thing I found somewhat interesting was an 05 Intimidator with virtue board and CP reg for 300, because thats my prefered price, but hmm..

BST forums are separated out into electro, mech, and pump.

Yeah I checked there, not much Im willing to buy there, but thanks for the help... Im gonna be fussy with my money.
I did find an almost minty PM6 on pbnation for 300 OBO (so I could lower it a decent amount) with a UL barrel, does that sound like a good deal? Sounds like it to me, but you guys seem to know more about deals than I do.
I also found a stock PM6 for 299 on ebay in case...

300 is not a bad deal.

It depends on the day. Like I wouldnt pay $300 for an Alias now, because the 06s sometimes fall onto that price.
PM6s fluctuate in price, somedays ill see a PM6 with UL Frame and stuff like that for $300, other days thatll go for $425.

Alright, last question Ill be asking on a new gun, as Im sick and tired of.. asking questions.
I decided though it would be amazing to get a used high end, Im not. Not not not not. I like things where nobody touched the buttons and screwed with anything except me. Thats why I decided middle ground would be nice. Especially because I found a PMR for the same price SLGs go for, NEW. 250$
Im quite giddy, and I want to buy now, but do any of you think that waiting until after the holiday season will get me some lower deals on one? The paintball market seems to be generally demanded by stupid people, making the whole thing upside down, but usually things go lower after everyone's got Christmas off their mind.

The only market in the PB world that price-breaks after x-mas is the used marker market. Winter is down time for most PB play, so the owners of stores tend to keep prices lower to entice people to buy and play this time of year.
