Hey guys, well after going out to my local field to play woodsball with my trilogy pro, even though i didn't think it would be a huge deal, the silver gave me away, you could see me from quite a distance. Also, I realized that I'm really into mil-sim, instead of cockers. I was thinking about returning the trilogy, and either buying a 98c or a5. I've heard that the 98c is extremely upgradeable, and has a few mil-sim options, while the a5 has tons of mil-sim (opsgears a5 builder is sweet) options. Which one would you guys prefer? (If this is considered a vs thread I'll delete it if possible)

The A5 has more milsim option as you stated on Opsgear and it has a cyclone. I would recommend the A5 because if you really want to get into milsim the A5 will give you more options.

If not that and you liked the feel of the cocker you could find a tactical cocker. I just bought one and love it so far. I also love the A5 I have owned for a few years now. The A5 does give more milsim options and it is a fast gun if you want it to be.

If you're looking for mil-sim, you should also consider the X7.

Yep, the x7 will have good millsim once opsgear starts into it.

IMO, the 98 Custom makes the best milsim M4 I have ever seen, but that requires ALOT of work. I suggest you get an X7 for milsim though.
If you dont like silver you can paint or ano your gun.

I suggest the X-7 hands down. Out of the Box just add a CAR stock and you have a pretty Decent HK-416 Mod.
I do sugest that you do upgrade the peformance aspects as well. Such as the JCS metal ratchet set and the E grip upgrade.

Thanks for the replies, I think for now I'll just get the 98 custom, and see how I like the gun, then probably start going mil-sim a while after with an a-5.

Only if a lot of work is put into it.
The bolt on milsim mods for the 98 are generally crappy looking imo.

If you put a couple hundred dollars into an a5 it is still an a5

Don't tell him that.
If he wants to do millsim, than let him.
There is nothing wrong with it.
