I am tired. I am very, very tired.
So tired, in fact, that I am falling asleep in my chair here at work mid-way through my third cup of coffee.
Under normal circumstances I can't fall asleep if I'm not in my bed, naked, in the dark, and with a comfortable blanket to keep me warm. Here it is cold, uncomfortable, I'm upright, fully dressed in officewear, pounding back caffeine, and getting up every few minutes.
The past several nights I've been operating on about an hour of sleep, but then last night I got more than five, which was awesome. I think my body got a taste of it and wants/needs more because I woke up fairly quickly after just an hour or so of sleep each of the past several days.
Six hours to go until I can leave here.
On the plus side I'm on the Lumines Live leaderboards.

Just nod off for a few. Just make sure the man isn't watching.

Yep. I've been sleeping through over half of my classes each day this week. Haven't missed a thing yet.
EDIT: Oh yeah, whats the status on you being blocked from the forums at work?

So far Tippmann has passed whatever test they're using to block sites. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but they might not have gotten to it all yet.

Disclaimer: The following post contains information about my junk. Read at your own peril/amusement
And why is it that as I'm sitting here, barely awake, not mentally or physically feeling aroused, that I'm rock hard? Why does being tired do that? Is there some mental process going on that I'm unaware of? Some biological need? There must be, but I don't know what it is.
And I hate that head bobbing thing when you're really tired. It looks stupid as hell as your eyes roll back and your head flops downward or to the side which snaps you awake, but not enough to not do it again.

You should just call in sick to work tomorrow and sleep all day.

I should. I really should. No class, Friday, light day at work anyway...
I haven't got the paid time off right now, so it'd be a paycheck hit, but I'm sorely tempted.

I didn't sleep at all last night. I tried to, but I couldn't fall asleep.

I used to get that a lot when I was younger, even into my early 20's, my mind just would not stop, but now that's pretty well past. I can go with little sleep, but I rarely have trouble falling asleep when I want to anymore. I'm very thankful for that. I've caught on to the trick of 'going quiet' and falling asleep quickly.
I've just been pushing too hard lately. Trying to eek the most out of my day and putting off sleep to avoid the tomorrow. I'll stay up to 2:00 or 3:00 even though I know I've got to be up by 5:00, and then I wonder if I shouldn't just stay up all night, and by the time I decide I really do want to sleep it's closer to 4:00. It's all my fault, but right now it's crappy. Tonight I sleep.

Ok, four cups of coffee, a Coke, jalapeno chips, and a few laps around the building with the temperature in the 30's did the trick.
Wide awake now.
