If you're talking about hard-line brake lines, that's what they used to use on all the old C/A conversions.

yea, the metal lines for breaks. so they do work eh. why dont people use them anymore?

Hard line configuration means that there are fewer options as to which way your marker is set up. Also, it requires you to find the appropriate lines which give you a great enough break strength. i.e. you don't want to use a brake line that has too low a break strength rating or you'll blow the line should you trap CO2 in there and it sits in the sun, etc.

It also was less expensive to just buy off-the-shelf stainless tubing and cut it to length for most manufacturers. You can still see the influence in the Automag RT's hard-line from the vertical adapter to the reg and valve assembly at the back.

Im going to buy some tomorrow, going to give it a try. yea i was going to use it on my ariakon acp 2.0, i dont like the 12gram co2's so im rigging up a remote line setup.
