I just got a toaster, 5 cup coffee maker, and a small slow cooker for $20
all of the appliances that i didn't have.
I'm mostly excited for slow cooker meals.

The only reason I go to Walmart is if there's a game or system out that Gamestop is out of/doesn't carry. I got my Halo 3 copy on launch day from a walmart, it was funny. There were lines outside of the Gamestop by my house, walk into Walmart, there's a huge box of Halo 3 copies, nobody's even standing there. Priceless.

i've got a pair of boneless pork chops sitting it a mix of beer, ketchup, bbq sauce, and various other seasonings right now. kind of a spin off of my mom's milwaukee pork chops which are baked in beer, ketchup, and chili sauce. when all said and done, it will have cooked for about 8 hours.
delicious... i always end up pulling out some of the sauce, thickening it up with some corn starch/water mix... and you have an amazing sauce for the chops and gravyish thing for the potatoes that go along with it.
this thing is perfect for one or two people... 1.5 quart. Now i can buy a large cut of meat, and have enough for 3-4 different meals from one thing.

I kinda want a slow cooker. I'm a vegetarian, but I'm sure I could find use for one.

Depends on what you need. Usually Meijer > Wal-Mart but Wal-Mart is awesome when you need that stupid random thing for a cheap price.

Nice!
Slow cooker meals rock. I wish I had the foresight to buy one while in college... but then again, my roommates would probably eat the contents before I got back from class.
The Mrs and I used one now and then when we were apartment dwellers. We gave that workhorse away when we "upgraded" to a larger unit with fancy digital settings and stuff. The glass lid shattered as we unpacked it after moving. Still need to get a replacement one of these days... then we can get back to some cookin-while-at-work goodness.
As for Walmart... the only reason I ever stop by there anymore is for ammo. Blazer Brass 9mm and 45ACP is the least expensive stuff I can get my hands on. And the Federal 22LR Value Packs are simply unbeatable. Was just there this past Saturday... grabbed another 400rds of 45 and 2200rds of 22LR. Buy it cheap, and stack it deep.

Well... ammo... and toasters and slow cookers.
Although I don't feel quite right calling them "slow cookers"... I've always used "crock pot"

yeah... i was actually worried about the forum population understanding what a crock pot is... so i used the general name.

I knew both terms, but am accustomed to crock pot.
If you had said crock pot 20 people would of make crocodile jokes...
