It isn't a clip...

Its a magazine. The clip is what loads the magazine.

This is a clip.

This is a clip guide.

This is a Magazine.

Please use correct terminology next time.

What exactly are you having issues with exactly ?

Clip, Mag, often made mistake, ignore the people who like to call others out on stupid crap.

He posted a stripper clip.

Using the correct terminology on things is one of my pet peeves, especially when it comes to my profession. There are very few things that irk me more. Research before using a incorrect term.

Clip is a common nickname for a mag. You know that.

We get it, you're in the Military.

No it is not a common nickname. It is incorrect terminology. Anyone that knows anything about firearms knows this, it would be ok usage except for the fact there are other things that are correctly referred to as clips so therefore the terminology needs to stay consistent. If I told you to go get me three clips, what would you go get?

We get it, nobody here likes you.

If you told me to get you 3 clips I would say 3 mags ? To clarify what you asked for because a lot of people say clip, especially with handguns it seems. I call them mags. And as for clips I say stripper clips or speed loader which we use for revolvers. And you know you knew what he was saying. Most all people who don't really know guns or are not around them much would say clips. I think it sounds kind of stupid.

well didn't clips come first built in to many rifles? Then they made removable clips which became magazines. So isnt there a clip inside a magazine? and on BT's website it's called M-16 Clip

kanjilumpy im sorry i cant help but i have no clue how to attach the magazine.

No, there have been stripper clips forever. The 1903 even used stripper clips.

No, the clip feeds rounds into the top of the magazine. The actual clip never enters the magazine, just the rounds from the clip. It is just a faster way of loading a magazine than loading one at a time.

Stripper clips usually have little tabs bent over to keep the ammo on them then when you push down they bend it down and pop into the mag. It's nice if you're in a hurry.

Those clips where made for the BT guns not the Tippmann A-5. The BT-4 and 16 are very similar to the A-5 but they have a bottom Rail on the marker where this mounts to.

Your choice are to either Modify it or to Sell it and get the LAPCO A-5 M4 Magazine or the Metaldyne Alluminum M-4 gas through Magwell. All easily found with a Google search.

There's enough gun-related misinformation out there to warrant a simple correction, heaven forbid someone trying to give someone an education on the subject. I don't know how many time I hear about an "AK-47 assault rifle" in a news report, and then they show an SKS.

A clip is something that holds rounds together for easy loading such as a stripper clip or an en-bloc clip like the M1 Garand uses(which do go inside the rifle) A magazine can be internal or external, fixed or detachable, tubular or box style. Using correct terminology is helpful.

This is one of the times I agree with Horsepower. Seriously, everyone knew it was a magazine. It is so obvious especially in the paintball world.

We're going to complain about terminology of course.  (And spelling as well.)

The clip feeds the magazine and the magazine feeds the weapon.

It is a common mistake.

Fort Benning is a few inches further south every year due to the amount of push-ups done because of this common mistake in nomenclature.
