Subject: Preganacy Scare, need help.

Condom Broke, but I didn't ejac, and i stopped right after that. she didn't come to school today because she was feeling depressed and angry. My first thoughts are OH  she could be pregnant. What do I do?!?!?!If I got a pregnancy test, would it show up this soon?!?!?! I'm freaking out |

I wouldn't worry too much, the chances of pregnancy are pretty low, given what you described, but nothing scares you into a new world of thinking like one of these situations. :)

If this was in the last day or two, this is exactly why they make morning-after pills. Your gf should go to the nearest pharmacy. As to the effectiveness of pregnancy tests, that depends on the test. Read the back of the box. Go get plan B ASAP like susan said. Go too planned parenthood (cheap/free plan B) or a pharmacy. You have 48 hours to get plan B before it starts to loose its effectiveness. Doubt her parents will have to be there. They are not going to go "sorry your not 18, you have to have a baby" + what would she get tanned from most. Asking for plan B or having a baby If she is on some kind of birth control I would not even sweat it. For a pregnancy test to even show anything it will need to be used at the time of her missed period. Or get a early result pregnancy test and use it 5 days before her expected period. This is why the girl should be using birth control too. Just in case the condom breaks. Hopefully this scare teaches you to use two forms of contraceptives. ------------- |

That summed everything up. You are probably ok, but get the morning after to be sure. Your chances are slim to none, but the morning after should knock out any possibilities. You shouldn't have to be 18 to get the pills either. Good luck, but I'm sure your fine. -------------

Yea she wouldn't know the next day as said. I think everything was said in here already, so basically just use two kinds of protection just to be safe. They taught us if the girl isn't on the pill at least use a condom and spermicide. |

haha i wouldnt be surprised if planned parenthood sent something in the mail to her house. did it to a former friend of mine that was funny.
also, you have like 72 hours for morning after pill. get on birth control condoms with spermicide are good to go and all, but you are recommended to only use them once per day and in one location. i prefer not to use them. i prefer no condom period, unless girl isnt on birthcontrol which just isnt cool male birthcontrol in four years! |

Getting pregnant isn't as easy as it seems. It has to be the right time and good situations and whatnot. Even with ejaculation, the acidity of the vagina kills most of the sperm. Plan B is a good idea. And also, Planned Parenthood keeps everything confidential. They encourage minors to come in. My gf has been on the pill since she turned 16. They didn't turn her down. And no, they don't call your house. It's completely confidential and free for minors. Set up an appointment ASAP and get her on the pill. Also, spring out the extra cash for good condoms. 1) Get morning after pill 2) Take morning after pill 3) Get a pregnancy test and follow instructions 4) Rinse, repeat. |

and dont think the plan b pill is something you can heavily rely on...it's purpose if for situations like this...if you take the pill more than 2 times in a short time span it can lead to infertifility in the women...also spermicide is just something you shouldnt bother with...it can cause serious girls over time to the girl and it cant irritate your you know what...if you're in a serious relationship birth control is always the way to go and the use of a condom every time...plus the birth control helps regulate the girls cycle and reduces some of the PMS symptoms

well I talked to her. Serious talks = not cool. The outcome was this; she said she was milking the situation but as it's a possibility, if she misses her period and fails a pregnancy test, RU-486. Harsh, but it works. |

#1: I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend when she wasn't on the pill for months. I don't see myself using a condom ever again. Yeah it was stupid, Yeah it felt 10x better, but the percentage of becoming a babies daddy isn't that huge. (Its still stupid to do.) #2: Day After Pills #3: Birth Control #4: Don't sweat too much if you didn't nut. Tomorrow go drive to planned parenthood/pharmacy no matter how far it is if you are that unsure. #5: Abortion if you get unlucky. -------------

I'm sorry but taking the abortion pill later is a horrible idea. Spent the 20$ on plan B now and it will keep your girl from getting horribly sick. Like I said in that PM. 98% effective with in 24 hours of unprotected sex. 25-48 hours after its 85% effective. Get it over with now instead of getting stressed out later. Bet your girl will be late because stress can cause late periods. ------------- |

Make sure she takes all the pills, my health teacher said her friend didn't take the last four for something and ended up with a baby boy. If you wonder what I'm saying she said something like a number of the pills in birth control do nothing but are just to keep you on schedule with taking the pills, her friend thought plan B was the same. Fail. |

they never taught us how, or even gave us a booklet or anything. i was one of the unlucky ones who was taught nothing more than abstinence. and since that was guaranteed to work, i would need to know how to put one on. i had to learn from a free condom/lube/info packet from some activist group in town. when are they going to realize that the whole abstinence thing just isnt going to work? -------------

I only had one break. Trojan magnum, broke as I was puting it on. Out of all the thinest of the thin condoms ive used from many different company's, ive never had a break when in use. Not hard to properly put on a rubber ------------- |

no, i'm not out to "get blood" i say this from first hand expirence. i know what's like to feel like that I could have been prego. the sad part is that, we didn't have insertion. We tried to be very careful too, but I still missed my cycle and it was like hell. I seriously know what you are going through. What I'm saying is, there are other ways to pleasure one another.
