So I got this old autococker from way back in the day, and I'm going to cut it to pieces.  Anyone have a diagram or anything that could help with the halfblocking process?

Before you ask, I have no experience with this at all, and I'm doing this because Christmas break is coming and I will be bored.

Remember if it is hard to draw it, it's most likely hard to cut it out.

start simple first.

Skillet,

Get a half-block bolt before you do any cutting as you'll need to know how far you can chop it. Without the bolt for measurement, there's no way of telling how much you can cut off without basically trashing a body. After that, you're going to need to use a mill, not a dremmel, not a hack-saw, but an actual vertical mill to cut the pieces. It's going to need to be a precision cut unless you can find an already assembled sled and turtle block with bolt that would mean you didn't need the remains of your body to build them out of. Just a thought for ya!

Oh, I was just joking about destroying it.  I just wanted to cause a state of emergency amongst our resident Cocker owners.  I have access to any tool that I need for this work, and I fully intend to TRY not to screw it up.

Hah, thanks.  I'll get some pictures when I can get the damn hammer thing out of it.  Its so old and dilapidated I can't push in the pin to slide it out.  Anyone have a valve tool they want to donate to me and I will return it?
