So I just got back from having my wisdom teeth out. All four. On was out and the other three were impacted. Luckily, they were upright and just below my gums. Doesn't suck as bad as I thought it would. Who else has had them out? Bad experiences? ------------- Pumpker'd; (V.) I got about 5x as much pain stuff as needed when I had mine pulled. -------------

I had mine taken out last summer. Didnt really have any problems except for right after my surgery my mouth was numb so I kept drooling. Other then that I didnt have any pain except for when I was eating because they were sensitive.

one side of my bottom jaw was numb for about a month and a half... didn't get back completely normal until about 3 months. it was scary shaving. horray for impacted/sideways teeth and nerve damage. |

My wisdom teeth are growing in just fine and they actually have plenty space.

the doc pulled mine when i was under the effect of N2O but the novacain dident work... when i tryed to say something he just covered my mouth and made me breath in more nitris... i had nightmares for like 2 weeks about it... ------------- saving the world, one warship at a time. |

Doc's didnt give me enough painkiller after they put me out, woke up in the middle of it, and then the lady at the walmart pharmacy stole my first batch of pills (told me mom not to go to walmart), so I spent two days with no pain killers after getting all four out. Didnt get dry socket, that was the only lucky part I had. ------------- Smart Parts, Stupid People... | All four of mine were impacted sideways so they needed to be sectioned and removed. They gave me a relatively small amount of painkillers and I didn't even take all of them, non the less, the bottle disappeared. When my sis got hers out they were all upright, they gave her 4X as many pills as they did for me, and she ended up with quite a problem for a while. Apparently if you're freaky-looking they'll give you more meds. I suspect a lot of people in the medical and dental field are there to score drugs and are pretty sympathetic to other scew ups. |

You got that right. I found my parents stash of painkillers from old surgeries and whatnot. Probably had about 50 vicoden, and some codeine (Tylenol 4). Sold it for a nice chunk of cash and some beer, and they still don't know they're gone 2 years later. They must think they threm 'em away or something. I'm hoping I won't have to get my wisdom teeth out. I've got a pretty wide jaw. -------------

I had them out, not a bad experience at all. Pain isn't a huge issue for me though it seems. Got some oxycodone for it though.  ------------- |

Had mine taken out 3 years ago. Wasn't fun but it didn't really hurt. I always hear people crying "O noes I have to get my wisdom teeth out" and I never understand why, they hook you up with pain killers and you sleep for a few days, big deal?

yessss sir, by the time I got my pain meds all I needed was asprin, so I just sold em to a middleman at school. made about 200 bucks cuase I geuss the druggies like Vikes. ------------- Smart Parts, Stupid People... i didnt take my pain meds because i had to drive to and from school for the rest of the week, so the pain was kinda a big deal for me. i had to have all 4 broken up then cut out.

^not taken at all. I'm very happy as of right now. The bleeding has almost stopped completely and there was no swelling. The only thing that sucks at the moment is that I'm stuck eating yogurt and applesauce for a few more hours.

All 4 taken out on Friday July 13th. All were impacted, they gave me two shots of sedative and 40 min later they were out. The drug they gave me was so great. I had no real pain, just took ibuprofen to keep the swelling down.

That part blew. I bled for hours and had to change the gauze often. I ended up bleeding on my pillow too while sleeping. If you put tea bags in your mouth, it's supposed to help slow / stop the bleeding. I got so tired of eating absolute crap I just started eating sandwiches with my front teeth. Sucked, but it's better than eating jello all day long. ------------- |

I have my Cornia scratched last year. massive pain and a hefty prescription of vicoden. I had a little problem with pain medication after that.

Yeah, I gave up on the Percoset because it was making me sick. Might sell some of them, who knows? I've been feeling good, just pretty sore.

No kidding I just got mine out a few hours ago... so much blood! Plus I hate how my tongue feels like a ballon and my whole lower jaw is still frozen so I'm drooling blood and saliva everywere still. |
