Hi there fellow PB'ers...

I friend of mine told me the other day that Tippmann was designing a new Marker for the "Stock Class" field....

Can anyone confirm this? or is my friend jerking my fill nipple?

Not happening.

There is not the market for a Stock Class Marker.

Wikipedia has rumors of a new semi auto propane marker if that matters.

Probably not true, but there is definately a market for that.

There were always rumors about that. The heat problem is not taken care of as of yet so it is not feasible.

Well, Tippmann could have some firearm-derived heat shield developed by now for all we know, but it would have probably been released for Christmas.

Quote Unknown Propane Marker

Rumors indicate Tippmann is planning to launch an as of yet unannounced, propane powered, semi automatic marker in the middle of 2008.[2]

According to employees, Tippmann has succeeded in making a working prototype marker, but some thermal issues still have to be resolved.

The marker will include a cyclone feed system, but a Response Trigger and E-Grip will not be available as the marker has an electronic trigger by default, like the C-3.

A semi-automatic propane marker may ultimately present a much reduced cost per shot. The adoption of smaller canisters or even 1oz capsules could drastically decrease the size and weight of paintball equipment as well.

Like i've said, they could just electronically cap a board to a certain rof.

We both know how small a roadblock that is.

Cyclone? How's that supposed to work on a propane gun?

Some large warning signs, woided warranty warnings and such should protect them from being sued.

Everyone. We have been working diligently on the semi-automatic propane "powered" paintball gun. It's pleasant to see positive feedback to the idea, and we are always growing ever nearer to an outstanding release.

Thanks.

Not really, but what are they going to do to me? I was on the ground floor of the A-5 and the C-3.
