I've technically/theoretically found out the exact time of the day.(Which isn't probably exact).
If there wasn't a leap year, there would have to be 24 hours and 59.17808219178 seconds in a day.
I figure, [60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x 365 days (+1 days for leap year) x 4 years ]
That finds out the seconds of a 4 year period including leap year. You come out with 126,230,400 seconds.
You divide by four to find the seconds of an exact year. It comes out to 31,557,600 seconds.
You then find the amount of a technical day 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 days x 365 days. You come out with 31,536,000 seconds in a perfect 24 hour year.
You then subtract the EXACT year (31,557,600 seconds by 31,536,000) to find the difference. Which is = 21600.
You then divide the difference (21600 seconds) by 365 days to find the excess seconds per day. Which = 59.17808219178 seconds.
Sure,
- This is probably wrong
- This could have been googled easily
- This could have been found out easier
But this all came out while chatting with high friends.
Good night.

But Earth's days are slowing down as the energy left from the impact which created our moon is slowly overcome by Earth's inertia, so what would the rate of rotational decay be today if the asteroid which hit us was roughly the size of Mars and the event occurred 4.5 Billion years ago, AND how long until leap years will require more then 1 day to account for our slowing calender?

I couldn't handle math like that if I were in your position.

Why the hostility? Your formula was nothing more than 6th grade mathematics. Throw a few derivatives in there then you'll get a pat on the back.
