Ive never had such a hard time attempting to beat a FPS. its beyond insane. the sniper mission in chernobyl is the hardest thing ever. i finally got the helicopter to land, but i was still surrounded and only had 30 seconds to get to it,and by then i was dead. its beyond impossible, to many russians.

I'm stuck on that too.

It's craziness.

Too many russians to kill them all.

Too many grenades flying everywhere..

I used every claymore thinking it would help, but the first wave destroys those.

yeah, i wish it didnt create a checkpoint after the first wave, that check point killed me. and it doesnt help that the captain only shoots every so often. had i known there was going to be that many waves, i wouldnt have placed so many claymores up front like that.

That was a fun mission.
Stay close to the ferris wheel and watch the right side. The guy can take care of himself.
When the helicopter comes, go wide of the ferris wheel.

Yeah. Stick to the right, and make sure you have a strong secondary weapon.(shotgun, mp5)  A good hiding spot is on the big concrete block from one of the support beams.

TO the right of the Ferris wheel, or to the right on the left of the ferris wheel?

Wow, I oh so loved CoD4.....Didn't think it was that hard though....left me a bit empty after a pretty quick game...Granted, I had a buddy playing with me, but I beat the single player in like 3 days.....

i'm playing on the second hardest difficulty. i tried staying right of the ferris wheel during the whole engagement, but that guy doesnt watch my back and i turned around and saw five russians shooting at me. they came up on top of the ferris wheel and around the back side of it. now, if i could shoot down those helo's that might make things easier. i shoot the guys coming down on them, but the third helo, i cant get all the guys because it drops them at the same time as the second. they just have to many avenues of approach. and i hate grenades.

That game was so easy, I beat it in like half of a rainy day.

Honestly, I'm really not a big gamer. But I found CoD4 to be really easy and fun. Yes, the sniper level was the hardest, but even then it wasn't that bad. I suggest dropping that sniper and grabbing an assault rifle for defending yourself while waiting for choppers. And use the claymores, they help a lot.

i dont have any claymores orc4 left because i used it all for the first wave, didnt realize how many waves there would be.

I'm now attempting it on the hardest difficulty, I'm struggling through the first level you play as the marine, hate to see what the Chernobyl level will be like, as I found that hard when I beat it on the easier difficulty.

Go in the right by the bumper cars, and lay on the bumper car closest to them, that's what i did, then when the helicopter lands, sprint over, grab the guy, and get to the choppaaaa

I did half the game in the 3rd hardest level, I went back and beat it again in the 2nd hardest. I can't believe i got that far on it lol. didn't expect it to be that hard. But the normal difficulty wasn't that bad.

It took me a while to beat it on normal because I was obsessed with online play.

Chernobyl was damn hard, but my friend and I beat it on Hardcore.  As everyone has said - stay to the right of the ferris wheel.  As someone else has said, I spent a majority of the time in and behind the bumper cars.  Sure, you have to watch your own back, but that isn't too bad.

ok still damn near impossible on hardcore or whatever the second hardest is/ i'll keep trying though.

Learn to shoot, and what i did was set the guy down, defend for a bit then run forward to the little shed, stab that guy, exchange your assault rifle/pistol for the draganov on the ground, run over to the bumper cars and i layed on the one closest to the enemy's, and shoot through there, when your helicopter lands to pick you up, sprint to mr injury, pick him up and run over as fast, and sit in the chopper.

I beat it in about 6 hours or so (over the course of a day or two) on Regular, and only had difficulty in certain spots. Now I want to try to on Veteran, but I always play online instead of single player. Right now I'm at level 42 on 2nd prestige.

I just picked up Rainbow Six Vegas, I heard you can't rambo it so we'll see. I think it will be harder than CoD4. If you're still stuck on that ferris wheel part, just rambo it. And find cover. Don't forget the intel

I finally played Gears of War. Gotta say, that was freakin awesome too. Short, but some of that had me hung up too....The hardest game I've played on the 360 so far has been Command and Conquer 3. Sweet game, I was surprised at how well they mapped the controls to the gamepad....Made me happy. But yeah, that game is playing pretty slow for me...

Edit: 357, let me know how R6V is, I'm thinking of putting it on my list after Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Assassin's Creed....God, there are just so many awesome games out for the 360 right now....*drool*

I started on the second hardest difficulty and didn't die once until the 3rd mission at the end in the beginning of entering the radio station and I just decided to play online after that.

I play CoD4 on the second hardest difficulty and Rambo alot of the time. I have a thing for knifing guys, and am trying to get that achievement. I killed three guys in a row with a knife but I still didn't get the achievement and its pissing me off. My brother is on that carnival level, I haven't reached it because of Live, but when I do I'll remember to keep my claymores.

And why is no-scoping guys so damn hard on CoD4? If you aren't in scope, your going to miss 99% of the time, totally sucks.

It is really hard to no scope people with the sniper rifles.  Ive never killed anyone like that yet.

I did one level on the hardest one, then gave up because I figured it would take a while to beat.  I beat the recruit level in a day, then went to Live.

It took me a lot of tries in the chernobyl map, only in the beginning where the guys walk over you.  I finally decided to lay behind a tree and made it.  I beat it with an AK47 most of the way when stealth wasnt an issue.

I stayed to the left of the ferris wheel and used all the claymores I could.

Rainbow Six Vegas is a good game. But it's nothing like CoD4. Way harder, big time. Like 2 or three hits and you're done. You really have to use your team a lot and stealth is much more important. In some ways I would say it's more realistic. Close to a simulation or something the way it's easy to die and the AI is really strong. They don't just stand out in the open and shoot at you. They hide behind corners where they can get you but you can't shoot them and they flank you and provide cover fire for the other bots. It's a challenge.

Was playing in some pub earlier under a smurf name.

Long story short, I got kicked for "hacking" (I went 89 and 19 last time I checked before being kicked).

Scrubs.

I beat Mass Effect 2 days after getting it (15 total hours)... great game and open for a sequel but I doubt it will get much more playing time. I get bored of games fast.

Linus, 15 hours? you clearly didnt spend enough time on it. my second time around, 26 hours of game time in one week. long week. but well worth it. try finding everything and visiting every planet. there are some interesting side quests.

also, i'm on my third go around, but this time, i play once a week for about a hour or so. taking my time.

For those of you saying COD 4 was easy, try it on the hardest difficulty.

I passed medium in 6 hours but it took me 1 week to pass it on crazy-insane hard.
