I recently noticed that I am the only person I know who wears their safety belt at all times. Just wondering who else does.

Yes I always wear mine. I don't understand why someone wouldn't wear one. I guess some people don't have the two seconds to spare right before they start their car.

i was in a rough car accident where i rear ended someone. i walked away with minor injurys but i feel theres a good chance i wouldn't have walked away from it if i was not wearing my seat belt.
i heard something a while ago saying if you were to hit something head on at 55mph (another car, tree, ect...) if there was someone in the back seat not wearing their seat belt they would hit the back of the seat with enough force to kill the person sitting in it. conclusion my car doesn't move unless everyone in the vehicle is wearing their seat belt. ------------- saving the world, one warship at a time. |

Sometimes, I always wear it when in the driver or passenger seat of a POV or Govvie. When in the back seat of viehicles, especially on long trip I almost never wear my seatbelt. In cabs, I never wear a seatbelt. -------------

I don't know about other states, but in Missouri and Kansas it's state law to wear a seat belt. Personally, I think it is completely ridiculous to have a law saying you have to wear a seatbelt. I always wear mine, but I don't think it should be against the law to not wear one. Kind of like helmet laws for motorcyclists. What do you guys think?

Always wear mine, it's stupid not to. The only time I don't is like wgp said about not leaving the property, or if I need to, like if I drop something i'll wait until I can stop and take it off for a second, or so and so.

I always wear mine. The one time I've been in accident I was wearing it. Not sure if it actually saved my life, but it probably saved me from substantial injury. I never understand the people that don't wear one. I don't think it should be against the law not to wear one, but if someone is too stupid to not wear a seatbelt, then I have no sympathy if something happens.

Used to not, and was in a small accident, wasn't wearing a belt and went through the winshield, then started wearing it and was in a near fatal accident, i walked with scratches, so i always wear it now, i won't get in a moving car if i can't wear a belt, and if i'm driving and people aren't wearing belts, the car doesn't move.

I always wear mine, especially after seeing a close friend almost die (other drivers in the accident did die), and just recently a friend's Mom and sister died (not wearing seat belts). Also, but not wearing your seat belt, you're also putting everyone else's lives at risk, as your body will fly through the car and slam into the rest of the passengers, particularly if you're riding in the back. |

| I don't wear mine while driving simply out of habit. Though, I will usually wear one if I am ridding in a friend's car because in Georgia, not wearing a seatbelt is only against the law if you are in a car. Silly hicks. |

I always wear one unless I am only moving a few yards away. Since I drive most of the time compared to being a passenger, my car is really annoying when I am just driving from one side of the parking lot to the other without a seat belt. It just starts with a constant ding then it gets faster and faster the farther you travel. It never stops. |

I always wear mine and make sure people in my car are wearing one. The only time I dont is when Im driving a work truck or a work dump truck.

I always wear mine. I was in a serious crash is September because some 82 year old lady went 55 mph. through a stop sign (and 2 blinking red warning lights) and we collided in the intersection. I walked away with just a sore knee from heat, I'd saitting the steering column. Considering the force of the accident was
enough to rip my glasses off my face and have them end under the
passengers say it saved my life. If you ride in my truck, you wear your belt. If you don't, you can walk. -------------

i call them seat belts, but even when i enter my car to warm it up, and i shut my door when i sometimes sit in it to start it, i notice myself putting it on. its like second nature.

I always wear mine. Driving, passenger, back seats. I've seen more people die because they didn't wear them that those that have.
Sure you can find one or two remote instances that a saftey belt killed a driver (I know of one person who was burnt to death because they couldn't release their belt) but I've seen many more people who get off lightly injured or not injured at all because of their belts. And remember things like Airbags are meant to work in conjunction with belts. I've been wearing them since I was a toddler so it is seriously second nature to climb into a car, shut door, attach belt and turn on car. KBK |

I always wear it. I can't imagine coming to an abrupt stop at 50+ MPH without being strapped in.
