So the NYT has called it Obama / Huckabee with Hillary close second, and Romney bowing out.

Hillary Clinton will moan and complain until they do enough recounts to make her win.

That makes no sense . . .
Gore conceded until he realized he had a shot at still winning because Florida was so close so he forced the recount.

That was like 7 years ago. All I remember is Bush winning, and recounts.

... Gore demanded multiple recounts, and then ended up having even fewer votes than Bush.

I admitted I was wrong. I just forgot that's how it went. I was like 13/14, I didn't care.

Yeah, just so you know, it came down to a Supreme Court case that had absolutely no jurisdiction to ever happen.

Actually, Edwards beat Hillary for second place by like 7 votes....Which is good. I hope she loses in NH too, she is way too status quo....She is basically the only Dem I don't want to win. 'Course, if Edwards ever finds a way to pull ahead of Obama, I'll be a happy man...
As for Huckabee, I'm glad he won too. I mean, he's a Republican, but at least he seems like a populist one...which is rare and at least mildly encouraging....
I also thought it was funny that Ron Paul beat Rudy....and by funny I mean crazy....yeah....crazy.

I really don't understand all the hype with Paul....He may have some decent ideas, but overall his platform is borderline nuts....he wants to put this government back to pre-New Deal status, and we all know that worked well last time....Besides that, the few times I've seen him in interviews and such, his performance was...less than impressive...I like his stances on individual liberty and a lot of his foriegn policy, but otherwise....nuts.

He's not going to win, he has pushed himself so far away from either mainstream party that he can never gather to backing to do anything more than steal votes away from deserving candidates.
Not to mention accepting campaign donations from white supremacist groups isn't helping his platform at all...
And immediate evacuation of Iraq? Come on...

I doubt it. That would push away a lot of Pro-Life voters. I'm thinking it'll come down to McCain and Huckabee.

We watched their statements in government today which proved to be very funny. Between Bill Clinton in the background for HIllary and Chuck Norris for Huckabee i couldn't stop laughing. Obama scared me a bit reminding me of a Nazi rally with all the crowd chants. Good speaker though.

Obama is the mannnn. I miss voting by 9 days, which sucks. But I've read his autobiography, and he's seriously a cool guy with a lot of life experience.

I really like Huckabee. Clinton is such a phoney I can't even stand to look at her cheap smile. Obama is ok, but I feel he is becoming more of a celebrity than a Presidential candidate. His views are too far left for me anyway, I'd still gladly take him over Clinton though.
As for the Republicans, Rudy is running too much on 9/11. He was a great Mayor and did many great things in NYC, but I don't think he would handle Presidency well. His liberal views on social subjects bother me as well. McCain is a great man, and a hard worker, but I find him un-electable. He is just too close to Bushism. Romney is my #2 choice, but he flip-flops like a John Kerry. Huckabee is the only Republican candidate I see that is different. He is not "Washingtonized", is kind of an under-dog, and seems to better understand what the American people want. The others are just too status-quo politician, and staus quo politicians on both sides of the isle have been the downfall of America.

I will NOT vote for McCain. That said I don't really like Huckabee either, he seems like my favorite of the bunch so far, but I haven't looked into Romney yet. It will take a lot to get me to vote for Obama, I will not vote for Clinton although she seems to be the only one so far to speak positively of the space program which is a huge plus. I can't see myself voting Democrat, I've looked at the 3 popular candidates and don't like them.

I like John McCain, but I don't see him as a viable candidate.
I was fine with Huckabee too, until I just found out about his plan to get rid of income tax.

Word. Criminalizing abortion, punishing doctors who have performed abortions, confining HIV infected individuals away from other people, and shunning homosexuals is how the country really would deal with those situations.
Guiliani would be my third vote, right after Obama and Paul. If none of those three are on the ballot in November, I think I may be to depressed to actually vote.
