I have an A5 with Power Tube, R/T, and Flatline. I like the Flatline so thats not coming off. I have a couple hundred to spend on mods adn was thinking of the following:

I have been thinking of going with the Vortex and Lightening rod mods and the QEPH mod. My quetion is will they wrok with the R/T? Also what else can I do  with the marker.

I want to try a remote which brand is best?

What internals do I polish, is there a diagram that shows what to polish?

Is there anything else i can do to it?

Just a little background... I started playing about 6 years ago but stopped for the last 4 or so. I've had the A5 since the beging and love it. Thanks for any help you can  give me!--slaverbro

Yes, unless I am mistaken, they will both work.

Look at the sticky on tippmann upgrades for polishing advice. My advice is not to do it though. You will not notice a performance difference, and it is easy to screw up.

Some mods you can do are cosmetic upgrades, low pressure kits, regulators (with hpa switch), expansion chambers (if you keep co2) and many others...

I'm going to have to disagree with Carl, polishing your internals is easy to do and, while it's possible to mess up, using steel wool greatly reduces that risk. Just don't go too far and you'll be fine.

The Vortex and Lightening Rod mods will work with the RT no problem.

Expansion chambers I don't recommend, they don't work as well as parts of their cost ought to. I'd recommend a Palmers Stabilizer instead because it will keep liquid CO2 out of the marker better than an x-chamber will, and it is also a great reg for CO2 or air, so it will still help if you eventually get HPA, while an x-chamber will not help at all with HPA.

Just my $0.02

Yes, a palmers will be better but it is a lot more expensive. If you are looking at paying for an upgrade in that range, you might as well switch to hpa. For the price of a new palmers reg, you can easily get a used carbon fibre hpa tank (3000 for sure, 4500 maybe)

Yes, it may be easy to do, but if done incorrectly, it can have huge negative performance effects. There is no use in taking the risk because you won't notice the difference at all.

A reg is better for hpa than a stabilizer anyways.
