The key to a good sweet tea is adding the sweetener as simple syrup instead of just plain sugar. It mixes perfectly.

Except for Canada.
I remember going to Washington DC with a group last year. We stopped in a McDonalds in Pensylvania. A lot of people ordered iced tea and almost everyone ended up throwing it out because it was unsweetened. Few people knew that unsweetened iced tea even existed.
I have yet to find unsweetened iced tea in Canada.

I know its not everywhere in the states, but it's the generalization I make. In canada, all "iced tea" is at least like nestea in terms of sweetness. None of it is just cold tea. Anytime I'm in the states and order iced tea, its just cold tea, not sweetened at all.

Apparently Canadians have not received the technology of individual sugar packets.

Usually here when you order iced tea (which is just tea in ice, I don't get the difference between cold tea and ice tea) you are given the option of sweet v. unsweet. I have only been to one, maybe two places where you can only get unsweetened, but they have sugar packets.
Which is much better, you get to decide how sweet you want your sweet tea.

Actually
Point = Arizona tea is awesome
Counterpoint = Arizone tea is not awesome
Tangent one = unsweetened tea is not very good
Tangent two = Unsweetened tea gives you the option to add sugar, choice is better
Countertangent two = Not having to do it yourself is better
Tangent three = peach and raspberry Nestea is great
Countertangent three = Peach and raspberry Nestea is not great
Follow correctly now?

My point falls into tangent one.
Your points fall into Tangent two and countertangent three.
Since mine was a lesser degree of tangent, relating to one happening earlier on in the thread, mine was much more relevant.

Due to the cold temperature of the iced tea lowering the amount of sweetener needed to make the solution saturated, I can never get it sweet enough. Sweet tea made by the restaurant or what have you > adding sweetener packets to iced tea.
