Subject: Take a Shower with your Gear

Anyone else hear take a shower with their gear? Well I do. For two reasons. 1. I love a hot shower after pratice, 2. I hate cleaning my gear. So I decided a while back to do both. Some of the items I bring with me into the shower.
Mask Tank Cover Barrel Condom Pods. Barrel Pod Pack
The main item I focus on is my mask. As soon as I get home I rip off my lense and clean it with warm water and soap. After that, I take all my gear a long with liquid soap and clean away. You will get one of the best cleans, and no worry of getting water all over your kitchen etc. And when it comes to drying, hang the mask on the shower head.
Just an idea after a long days play.

I once considered running my lense through the dishwasher.

I put my stuff through the washer except for my mask. Smells good and looks clean.

nope i don't take shower with my equipment. I'm always muddy after paintball game so i use garden hose and then trow it in washing machine. I use lysol disinfectant spray for my mask, & always avoid the lense being spray on.

Some silly thing about indecent exposure.
(It's okay Carl. I should have included the original post for clarity.)

I took a field shower at TWC 3 with all my gear on.
Meaning that after I bashed my head into a tree while following Rockslide (bad idea in any context)....Old Soldier showered me off with a garden hose to get the blood out of my eyes.
Worked good. My gear has never been cleaner!
....Memories....

When water gets in between the 2 panes of the thermal lenses, you're royally effed, so be careful with that. I just rub the paint off and run a wet paper towel over the lenses, and use a rag to wipe the paint off the non-lens parts.

Was that towards me DeTrevni? I know, that's why I said I take the lense out, the rinse the whole "frame" etc.

I don't wash my gear, it's bad luck. I almost cried when my mom got ahold of my stuff all of at least 2 years of grime and threw it all in the washing machine.

It's not that uncommon of a thing, especially for practice gear, though most sponsors require that you wear cleanerER gear for tournaments, as it makes their stuff look better.

I use fabric softner on my multicam Spring breeze I think its called, then I wear them around the house with doggy slippers cuz they're so soft and warm from the dryer.
Actually, I rarely/never wash my gear except my mask. I too think its bad luck. Same thing with hockey... Smell my basement, it's rank and I love it. Rank is manly.

i generally only clean my stuff before a tournament... luckily, i haven't played a tournament in years.
i know... bad luck... but I believe that when everything's all clean and washed, it looks better and you can represent your team better... kind of a big deal with ncpa and your school's reputation is on the line.

Well, like I said. Gear directly related to and/or representing sponsors is kept very clean, mainly because it increases the odds of that product being in a magazine, thus free advertising.

I actually like cleaning my stuff. The mask and pods kind of suck, but I love taking apart guns. Putting them back together sometimes sucks too.
And if you read the manual for the Mags, they basically say take a shower with them. You can leave them aired up, and put them in a bucket of water to get paint off of them.

I am very much like GWAR...or Lordi....I wear my gear to Wendy's, work, class, etc....and into the shower, I dont bother taking it off. I mean, I would just have to put it back on again later anyway.
pods are a decent storage solution for your snack from subway or quiznos
the spandex crotch in my Nexed Gear pants allows for easy access for scratching myself (etc)
and my barrel swabs are always readily available for that pesky booger

i clean my gear even if i havent used it. i wipe it down use these towlet thingys and then dry it off and reapply oil... and thats just my gun... it just gives me something to do when im bored or really really pissed off. my friends on the other hand wait for awhile to clean their guns... usually until the night they go paintballing again... and the next day when they have to fix their guns i laugh... and then go shoot people

The day after a big game is when i usually wash my gear, until then it sits in a pile on the basement floor, and I take a shower and go directly to bed.
Everything comes clean in the washer. I usually hit my cleats with a hose, after i remove my gels.
Then i start breaking down and cleaning all the guns i used. I've never tried to wash my vest, i'm not really sure how that would come out.

Your post isn't a mirror into their lazy world in any way is it?
I on the otherhand think it's a paramount idea my only problem is that I think my shower wouldn't be big enough.
