The Dinner menu is out of date by almost a year. The web-designer's getting his butt kicked because of that. I launch a new one on Wednesday, so it should get updated then.
See what you think!
Oh, make sure to click the "News" link. It's not news about the restaurant, but rather RSS news feeds from Ireland including the latest sports scores for everything from football (soccer) and rugby to steeplechase and cricket.

What happens is... you get food... which is served to you by a smoking hot waitress... which could make having dinner with your wife a little awkward... but I kept my cool.

When I saw the title "my restaurant" I almost expected something along the lines of "burnt down" or something crappy. It would have been fitting after such good news about the magazine. Glad it's still standing strong

Looks really nice inside, did you start up that particular resturant by yourself? What was the capital needed to start your business up?
Edit: It is missing one thing, leprechauns But seriously, it looks really asethetically pleaseing; Next time I'm in DC [we have family there] We will head on over.

Forumers tend to get a deep discount so long as they set up the reservation through me.
Drex, I didn't start this restaurant up. It is owned by Mark Kirwan and his two partners. They're all from Ireland. Including the purchase of the property (most people rent the buildings their restaurants are located in) they probably sunk close to 5-6 million in it before the doors even opened.

I almost had the chance to come visit you on a travel abroad school trip, Tallen. For something like $3000, I could have gotten 6 credit hours in one of two US history or Government classes, traveling to DC, Paris, London, and two or three other places, doing educational stuff.
When I first hear my professor mention DC, I thought "I wonder if I could get Tallen to discount the groups food enough to make them want to eat there."
Sadly I couldn't front the couple hundred they required as a down payment in the time alloted.
One day....
EDIT: EIGHT-ZERO-ZERO-ZERO WOOHOO

Yeah, we do omelets. Only Sat and Sun before 4pm though. They're more like fritattas anyway as we don't roll them. So you get more stuff.

But admit it, you're not there for brunch anyways. Its just line cooks using whatever needs to go out before it spoils.

Actually, I'm here at 8AM every Saturday and Sunday making fresh scones and getting everything ready for brunch. I actually bring in a lot of product for brunch alone as the items we use are all specialty items. Rashers, Bangers, Black and White Puddings, Irish baked beans, etc. Not a scrap of "Ohhh we need to use this up quick" stuff. I very rarely ever have anything that needs to be "used up" due to a quality issue. I order properly and have very little space to store product (sq/ft is a premium in our neighborhood). So I order produce and seafood 6 days a week, meats come in 5 days a week, and my sundry orders (broadline food distribution orders) come in 3 times a week.

It made me all mad to see a premium irish restaurant that I can't eat at. Then I got a crazing for some bangers and mash. THEN I remembered I live 2 mins away from the Tir' Nan' Og. Not so mad anymore.
But as a huge fan of irish food, your place seems like the place to go!

One of my best friends works at the Nog. I quite like that place, even if their wings are meh.

I've never had it. It is only served in the UK and Ireland.
The difference is they only lightly toast the barley, so it is supposed to be a lighter front taste with less coffee-bitter and a little more "fruit" taste.
I want to try it before they discontinue it.
