I test fired my a5 with e trigger for the first time and as soon as it started going full auto (9 bps) the firth ball chopped inside the barrel.

Potential causes of that would be?

-bad paint (but what are the odds that the fifth ball I shoot turns out to be bad paint, out of a 2 week old box) the brand I used is Toxic.
-High velocity, I have not been chrono'd since I play at my friends property, not at a the field. But I don't see how at 9 bps it should really matter, I only unscrewed my velocity screw maybe 2 revolutions counter-clockwise from factory level.
-cyclone feeder? shouldn't be the problem since it fed the ball and the ball broke in the barrel
-Barrel? using a J&J ceramic barrel, 2 weeks old
- the gun and e trigger are both 2 weeks old
-Was running a 72/3000 HPA tank, the gauge read 1900 PSI at the time of the chop

Anyone else got any ideas, suggestions?

Could be the bad paint.  What kind were you using?  Also as far as Chrono goes 2 revs out could put it up a bit if it started at factory level.  Mine was already shooting hot when I first bought my A5.

Well, if the paint broke in the barrel and didn't break in the breech of the marker, then it wasn't a chop and can be attributed to either too high a velocity, bad paint, a burr in the barrel, or weather.

How cold was it where you were shooting?

around 70 F

I'm assuming it was bad paint. It sucks cuz my neighbors complained while I was cleaning the chop so now I can't fix this problem till I go play.

clean it out inside.  Dont put paint in it lol.  Clean the barrel out well and wait till you get some diff paint then try it.  I recommend 3 or 4 am.  Neighbors like that alot...lol.  But seriously even in the basement you could.  Just dont do it in the bathroom.  Its not pretty.
