Does anyone know how to get spring pins out of a body? I've been hammering away for an hour with no results.

| Use a screw driver or allen wrench and hammer it so it goes out, and it that doesnt work try again but applying a little WD-40. Use it as a last resource since WD-40 is not good for the marker. |

The Guy; Could you be a little more specific please. I am assuming you are referring to the pins in the trigger/sear area of a 98 series marker, but don't want to answer unless I'm sure I know what you're talking about. -------------

I use a flat ended punch that is a few thousandths smaller than the hole that the spring pin is in. That way you have more even surface contact at the spring pin and won't be forcing it open as you hit it. Make sure that it doesn't have any burrs on the outside edge you want to hit or it will fight the whole way. As the pin starts to make its way out you can grab the exposed end with a pair of pliers across the gap in the pin and compress it to help get it out. Once the pin is out you can ream out the hole to clear any burrs that might be in there to make installation easier. ------------- "My gun shoots ropes so good that i rock climb with it, then when i get to teh top i pwn people snipa style cuz my 21 inch barrel gives me extra distance for headshots." -me but not me |

I used to have to deal with those on Stingrays years ago. I bought a
spare one the same size at Ace Hardware and used it and a small hammer
with a series of gentle taps. I don't know what your specific application is, but I have seen some of these that are keyed (one end slightly larger than the other) so they can only be removed in one direction. -------------

Exactly what Mac said, the important thing is to not to use a tool thats smaller than the hole in the pin or the pin will get expanded by the tool and just jam in. Use something nearly the same size as the pin, and knock it out with a hammer. -------------

Nah, the pins are in a Bushmaster/BKO grip thats on my Tribal. I wanted to remove the trigger and switch for anodizing. I'm hunting around for a suitable item to use. I tried allen wrenches already, it won't budge.
