Im kinda new to paintball, last year i started playing woodsball with afew buddies, it was the best time i ever had. So last year i was using a Spyder TLR with afew upgrades, Etrigger, Maddmann rocket valve, Delrin anti chop bolt. It works great but i realized during play that it was much to flashy and everytime the sun hits it i get killled. So i decided to by something new. About 3 weeks ago i bought a bone stock 98 custom. Since i bought i added the Response trigger, Site, and Boss man magazine. Then about a week ago i decided the 98 wasnt enough so i bought an A-5 it has FL barrel, Cyclone hopper, Low pressure kit, Egrip, Taso drop forward with on/off.

Im open to any advice i know nothing about tippmann guns, I was very confused when i opened my 98 for the first time. I really didnt like the look of the barrel on my 98 so i ghetto fabd up a shroud not the best but its ok till i get alittle money together to buy one.

it looks good. not allot of ppl would think of sompthin like that. you should find or fab up a short stock for it. maby a new barrel (i love mine(look in my sig)).

Ya i know, my daughter put it together so i could shoot it with her before i went to work.

Anyway, I love my remote but I didn't like my stock (Tapco T6, standard M4 style stock) so I accually started just using the remote alone and it works great for me (unless I use the SL, in which I steal my dads T stock). Im a scrawny highschool kid too (5'11'' 167lbs) and I found the stock annoying.

My suggestion is to borrow a stock for a day if you can.

I really like the mag. I checked the Bossman website and dont see it listed. I did find one similiar at usmilitarygear.com, but it looks different. Where did you get yours?

She actually screamed at me when i told her i was going to get rid of her VL "Dad thats mine, you cannt sell it" She wants a pink gun so i was thinking about having a the guy that does my powder coating do her frame hot pink. I think she will love that.

Even though it usually doesn't come out that great, I've always wanted a colorshift marker. Unless you get a professional paintjob, but I might as well buy a ton of other stuff for that price.

Black chrome has always been a favorite of mine too.

Crazy neon, nice job! You said you are new to pb and you know nothing about Tippmanns.. noone would be able to tell that buy your guns. Your a creative guy, the 98 looks bad-arse. I also think its cool that you built your own shroud.

Im pretty new to paintball myself, have only been playing four serious years, going on my second year with my 98 custom. I just upgraded mine since the warm weather is coming. Added an apex barrel, cyclone feed, x-7 low profile hopper, double trigger, expansion chamber, drop forward, delrin star fire bolt, macroline hose, red dot scope, rocket cock (covers bolt and allows quick cocking), and a tapco short folding stock.
I would highly recommend getting the: *rocket cock, keeps paint out of your marker. *Cyclone feeding system, uses "left over" air, reduces chopping, and feeds 15 balls p/s. I would also suggest getting the x-7 style low profile hopper, its less bulky, more of a stream lined look. Since you said you have an r-t trigger, you would alos have to get the "t" adapter for it. *Delrin Starfire Bolt, increases accuracy and air efficeincy, easy to install. *expansion chamber, allows c02 to expand into gas before entering gun. You wont shoot frost or freeze and crack o-rings. Of course, that mad is too sweet to replace with one of these, just save up for a 68ci 4500psi hpa (nitro) tank and you'll never have that problem..
All the other upgrades on my gun are for my prefferences, and a lot of people dont like these things at all. You'll learn that everyone has their own prefferences. some will swear by the apex, and flatline owners will beg to differ, while the guy with a j&j says "I just dont get them their fancy barrels". Just like some people want an invert mini, while some pros use guns with 15 ball feed tubes and 12gram c02 carts...

But anyhoot, great job! Tippmann guns were a good choice, and its cool your daughter gets involved, def. post pics if you pink up her gun, I just bought a silver 98 for my girl that I would like to have painted or dyed purple.

I talked to my powder coating guy and he said he could do it but hed rather stick to the big basic color jobs and not single pieces. So ive gotta find someone else around here. But i will post pics if or when it gets done. Im thinking about fabbing up a short aluminum stock for my 98 sort of like the special ops L looking one. Anyone have any suggestions on a good stock??? Im trying to stay some what compact.
