Make sure you get a tank with high pressure output, then just screw it on and go shoot stuff.

Will I experience drop off in velocity if I rapid fire. I am using a stock trigger. |

Rather the opposite - less drop-off than before. The only caveat to HPA is with RT, but if you don't have RT, then it's just plug 'n play. ------------- "No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable." |

Also go for a tank with a good reg. I like Crossfire and Pure Energy. I have heard Crossfire is better because the recharge rate is supposed to be better.

DO NOT USE PETROLIUM BASED LUBRICANT on the valve pin of the air tank
as this will make your HPA tank EXPLODE in a fiery ball of flame. HPA is not R/T friendly dont need Expansion Chamber.. some people do have a second regulator, or stabalizer Tank cover if you get Fiber Wrapped Tank ------------- smg-60 sl-68 68 special A-5 |

Very valid points, but I'd like to elaborate as to why the tank would 'splode. When you compress air to (hypothetically) 4500 PSI into a space of 68 cubic inches, the process generates a great deal of heat. You can actually feel the tank heat up as it's filled. Anyway, in some cases, the heat was enough to ignite any petroleum based oil within the tank (it got there when oil was applied to the fill nipple or valve pin), and the resulting fire blew the tanks. 2.25 tons of air pressure + a fireball inside a tank = bad mojo. To the contrary, HPA is very RT friendly, but it does require some extra work. With HPA you can unload your RT without fear of freeze. This is good. But HPA tanks put out lower pressure than a full CO2 tank, which makes it harder to find and hold the sweet spot. Hello..Im new here..and I also am using HP w/ R/T w/ flatline..So by tweeking do you mean? adjusting the RT ,the velocity..are there upgrades I need.. Right now I have an A5 with Flatline, Remote line and RT.. what excactly is the LPK for..more for CO2 and also the Palmers stabilizer..what is that for.. I want to run HP(ALWAYS) I also have an E-GRIP I could put on..and If I did that do I have to remove the RT.. Any info you have would be greatly usefull..Thanks ------------- GRIZZLY BEAR |
