Watch the whole thing, kind of gives you that "we're all going to die" feeling.

Its pretty cool, but that sound is really annoying. The kick recover and ice slip was really cool.

I can just imagine standing in the woods...

"What the hell is that annoying buzz?"

.... *It comes into sight*

"O ... M ... G"

That's not a robot, it's two midgets in a box.

They should've given it three legs, and a flechette launcher.

A better scenario:
"Imagine 500 of these just walking into a city roaring away. Scary as hell, but finally, one insurgent gets up enough balls to run out and kick one, and it recovers like that? I wouldn't be able to get my arms in the air fast enough."

If they put mini gins on it we are all doomed.

Wow, that is really impressive, especially the way it it recovered from slipping on the ice and being kicked from the side.

I was pretty creeped out when the video first started. It looked like some giant, buzzing, mutant insect roaming through the woods.

I meant guns. But mini GINS wouldn't be so bad.

Guns???  that.

I'd use it for medical reasons... Some one gets shot I'd send out one of those to go get him out... it still needs improving(Speed over terrain) but that thing is a giant leap for robots.

That thing, with a remote controlled machine gun mounted on it could make a rather deep impression on the people its used against.

It's probably really finicky, in which a simple 5.56x39 round would probably completely decimate it. Unless they covered it in flack Jackets.

I would love to see that at the Cousin's Big Game with a quad 98c's trotting through the woods shooting up everything that moves....

Also check out the link to the RHex robot.  Not quite as impressive, but very cool also.

I can't imagine the amount of work it took to get that thing to move like that.

Sure, you can be all pessimistic and predict a robot uprising.

I choose optimism, and will commence immediate telekinetic exercises and lightsaber training.  And then I will start an evil empire.

The zombie survival guide is not to be trusted.

It does not cover many angles and often gives bad advice.
