I have to give you some history about this PMR I purchased from my Local store. I bought a black Proto and right outta the box the thing leaked (I dry tested in store). So they happened to have another black one there...I scooped it up. Now thinking (or lack there of) that it was just a fluke that I purchased the "only" dead one off the shelf...I didnt check the new one. So off to the ole backyard I went. I literally shot half a hopper when the bolt blew an O ring and leaked again. Finally I did my research... Apparently other people had issues with the bolt O rings (same ones that blew off for me). So I return the black one. Next week the camo one shown here came in. Same d*&# bolt issues. I resolved the issue with a Tech T bolt and a CP reg.  So here is the PMR I now own. (oh yea new sticky grip on way..green this time).

Vloader
CP reg.
Techt Bolt
Red Hot ASA
new macro line
Slik Trigger

Always lube the orings on a Matrix before you fire it.  And make sure your ABS is on.  I never had a problem out of my Evil Minion.  Regular maintenance is needed.

Proto rails are nice guns, i had one right after they came out. Throw a new feed neck and barrel on it and you'll have a perfect gun.

why would you put a CP reg in place of the Hyper 2????? the hyper 2 is way more consistent and has a much better recharge rate.

and did you even once perhaps think to open the gun up replace the oring with the supplied repair kit and lube it...

hmm i think PMR's just hate you then, mine hasn't had a single oring need replacing yet, and has never leaked.

actually, you have have an ultralite already on there, the proto back is an ultralite back in .690 bore and is lighter, just go get an ultralite front, save ya some money, and the UL fronts are a bit more accurate, and look better IMO.

I miss the performance of my DM4, but not the maintenance.  A couple of guys on my team had Proto's, and none of them still have them.  They're moodier than my wife, as was my DM4.  When they're working, they're awesome.  When they're not...  Mmm, not so much...
