Hey gang, I have a Tippmann A5 which did not include the Response Trigger. I added the response trigger but hadn't had the ability to test it all out until recently. Whenever I pull the trigger, the response trigger fills with pressure, but eventually it gets to a point where I can't pull the trigger. When I try to adjust the screw which controls the sensitivity, the valve will remain fully pressurized until the adjuster screw is completely loose. The screw that adjusts the flow control appears to also loosen/tighten the nut that holds the screw in place. If I loosen it too far, the flow control screw falls out of the gun. This causes the pressure in the Response Trigger to be released, but the trigger is fully usable (obviously, the response trigger won't function in this state). I'm new to paintball, and newer to Response Triggers. I'm open to suggestions about what the issue could be. I'm planning to head to one of the local shops to see if they can offer some insight, but I figured I'd consult with these forums first. If I missed anything, please let me know! |

Apply a drop or two of loctite to the threads on the end of the adjuster valve. Then thread it back in, let it dry a few hours. -------------

Thanks Enos! I didn't apply Loctite, however I consulted with a Paintball veteran buddy of mine and offered your suggestion, and we removed the nut. Once the nut was removed, we used a wrench to hold the nut and carefully applied a bit of muscle until the screw moved freely and on its own. At this point the rest came easy. In other words, there really wasn't an issue - just a really tight factory fitting. Thanks again! |
