From a Streetlight Manifesto show.

I am convinced that they are one of the best live acts in existence right now. I have never seen a band that can whip a crowd into a frenzy like that, with everyone shouting and pumping fists and chanting the lyrics in a chaotic chorus. Not to mention, has risen to huge underground success so quickly.

A quick pic I got on my phone:

Better Place, Better Time is one of the most heartfelt and amazing live songs.

A Moment of Violence = kinda scary to be in the pit area for.

They covered Linoleum by NOFX, with just Kalnoky singing it alone with his accoustic guitar.

They sang "It's A Wonderful Life" by BOTAR, and kept the upright bass and accoustic sound going by playing "Forty Days" and "Would You Be Impressed" in the same swing-jazz-twang style.

If you get the chance, go see them live. It is an almost zen inspiring experience.

never been to a Slayer, Lamb of God or Otep Concert have you...?

want to talk about getting people "in a frenzy".

It still Amazes me how quick people "move" when Lamb of God starts to play Black Label.

I've never listened to Streetlight Manifesto, maybe I'll give them a listen. Sounds like you had a good time, that's all that really matters.

And comparing "Pit Intensity" is so 2 years ago.

Date Posted: 16 April 2008 at 2:30pm
It's not "pit intensity" at a Streetlight show. It is crowd participation.

It gets Ridiculous.

I honestly don't think there is a band that can get the same reaction. Obviously all bands get a crowd crazy, by SM is on a different level.

MBD, did they play "The Provide The paint for the picture perfect masterpiece that you will paint on the inside of your eyelids"?

That song title is EPIC, let alone the song. Last time I saw them, they played both of the BOTAR songs that are original.

A Better Place, A Better Time is an amazing all around song.

Also, I have seen them a bunch of times. I think I might pay double for a ticket to see them on the 28th anyway(because it sold out)

Dude GAY! Noone has them for sale. I guess it legitimately sold out 2 nights in a row.

Not this time. They did last time.

I was happy get to hear a few of the newer songs get played in BOTAR style though.

Forty Days played in the BOTAR style is awesome.

Wow Da Hui, really? I had no idea, I never, ever would have thought of that. I never would have realized that Panda Man of all people likes metal. I figured he was listing those bands at random, because that would make more sense.

Maybe this forum just has good taste in a lot of ways, and then has a couple people who fail at life, and we verbally step on their skull when we can :)

i love discovery a little indie band with a good tune and when i listen to them other people say, "who are you listening to?" i say the name and then they reply, "oh. i've never heard of them, but i really like it." then they tell their friends about the band and so on and so fourth.

They put on a great concert. And they do get the crowd going! I haven't seen them live since '05 right after they started doing all clean vocals though.

Their new cd was very disappointing

Wow.

That is all I can say about this show. They play with incredible energy this
ENTIRE show while also being musically amazing. The crowd participation
at
their show is incredible.

They opened with Watch It Crash which started the show with incredible
energy. They also cover Linoleum by NoFX in Atlanta, but this time it was
full band minus horns.

If you get the chance to see them, do it!
