I run a Prolite as my backup. I recently decided to throw some cash into it, but an having problems finding parts. I'm putting an APP 2X frame on it, and I would like to install a vert adapter, but Prolite/Pro-Carbine adapters are impossible to find anymore. So heres my idea. I'd like to put an m98 vert adapter on it, and use it to install a gas-thru foregrip. But here's my question: What size threading is the male end of the adapter. 1/8" will screw directly into my P/L's valve, but I would need an adapter from Palmer's if it is 1/4" or anything else. Please help me out. -------------

It's 1/8". (At least the one I bought several years ago was.)

Well, that solves a problem for me. Except I have one more question: Are the m98 verts pretty sturdy? I wasn't sure because they're meant to be housed inside the marker. If they're on the flimsy side, they won't do me any good. And how do the Tippy ones compare to the BTs? -------------

The m98 vertical adapters are pretty solid. I've messed around with a few and they seem like they can hold up. I don't know much about the BT version. I would imagine it is comparable.

Did you check the P/C OG or MCB? They normally have those type of parts.

I've checked everywhere I can think of, including both of those. There just aren't any C/PL/PC Verts to be had at the moment. -------------

huh Pro series marker parts are becoming very rare indeed. Luckily I ordered 5 complete sets of internals and like 20 o-ring kits for my pro/carb when Tippmann announced that they were discontinuing them. -------------

I would not run the 98 vertical adapter outside the marker body. While it would probably be strong enough for use this way on it's own, the temptation to use the x-chamber as a foregrip would probably result in flexing which would eventually lead to damage. I'm not sure it would work in the application you envision anyway. I thought the Pro-Lites (and similar markers) had an area on the bottom for attaching accessories (such as x-chamber adapters) to which would make it difficult to get the 98 adapter close enough to the valve to screw in without milling. (I could be wrong on this, I got rid of my last marker from this family quite a while ago.) -------------

That is true. The lower rail would prevent the adapter from attaching directly to the valve, but a 1/8" extender from Palmer's would drop it enough to attach it. I wouldn't be using it as a foregrip for two reasons.
