 Apparently the problem is that twirling it around results in octopus 'matter' being whipped onto the ice which can result in poor ice conditions. After all these years, they just now ban it? I think this is a really poor decision by the league. |

Like that will stop them. Besides, does the rule say only BEFORE playoff games? Joe-Louis outlawed bringing them in long ago, but that doesn't stop people. EDIT: Hey, Dear NHL. Yeah wow, I thought for sure that Montreal would take them in 4 or 5 games. And how about that Washington and Philly game yesterday. That was excited. As a Wings fan, I wish the Wings would crash and bang like the Caps were yesterday. |
