Hey I just received a collapsable m4 stock for my 98c with ACT.  I separated the gun into two halves, replaced the endcap with the stock and made sure that the two springs were in the correct position on the stock.  Everything looked fine when I put it back together but when I go to fire I hear a terrible clinking sound and the gun does not stay cocked.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem or are there common troubles that people have when installing a stock on this gun?  Any help would be appreciated.  I referenced this page http://blog.paintball-online.com/2008/03/23/how-to-install-a-stock-on-a-tippmann-98-custom/ - http://blog.paintball-online.com/2008/03/23/how-to-install-a -stock-on-a-tippmann-98-custom/

Or if anyone has a better set of instructions I could use.  Thanks

I don't think you could find a better set of instructions then that. It can't be shown better. Take apart your gun and make sure everything is correctly attached. Check to make sure the main spring guide rod is still there and that the sear spring is still there.

Out of curiosity was the stock drilled for the ACT? A lot of the stock you find on Ebay really cheap dont have the hole drilled for the ACT springs.

I'm betting this is the issue.  If it isn't, and the stock has a built in RVA, make sure the RVA is not adjusted to the maximum forward position.
