Hey all. I am new to these forums but have looked around a few times before. I have gone paintballing maybe 10 times and cant get enough of it. I first had a spyder victor 2 and then got my current gun, my 98 custom pro. I really like it and have a 14 inch barrel for it. I want to upgrade to either a response trigger or an e grip but i dont know the difference. I just want to shoot faster than a hard to pull semi auto. what is the difference between the two? and be patient, i know nothing about paintball guns.

an E-grip works off of electronics while a response trigger does this- it takes the excess air used to fire the paintball to put the trigger back into a firing mode and helps put another paintball into the chamber quicker.

thats the difference between the two...as for which works better i honestly couldn't say, i shoot straight mechanical.

-edit- they basically do the same thing but they do it differently

but no matter which one is used, it increases how fast you shoot right.

yes- and as my edit says...they do the same thing but in a different method. each have their benefits, and each have their drawbacks. as for what they are, like i said i can't really say because i don't have experience with either. i'd wait a little longer, maybe a few days to get a bit more feedback from people with each

I would go with the Egrip so you have different firing modes and you can take it to any field.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

E-grip for me too.

I like having a 3-shot burst mode as well as semi, and full auto. You have to use batteries but this technology has to have some drawbacks.

Yes the egrip has different firing modes and for the most part can shoot faster than the response. The response works just like stated before in this thread and it basically shoots when you pull and release the trigger so for 1 trigger pull you get 2 shots. If tuned properly you can get it going very fast. You can also buy different boards for the egrip if you want to. The most popular board that usually comes with the egrip is the WAS board and some people like to upgrade to the APE Rampage board. Though in some cases you can buy an egrip with the rampage board in it. Or on some websites you can buy an empty egrip (one without a board) so you can choose which board you want.

If you get the egrip, make sure to try to get a new one with the push button changer and whatnot. I ordered mine already instralled in a gun and it was one of the old ones you had to turn, got stripped, and had to get a replacement : /

The electronics part of the egrip. Basicly the brains of the electronic grip. These parts here:   http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=948&categoryID=10 - http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.pr odInfo&productID=948&categoryID=10
