this idea just came to me i was thinking about things like the mp5 and
other cqb looking guns... what if someone made a barrel the was blck in
the front and like the distance of an actual gun and then had like 8"
of extra barrel that was clear so they didnt have to sacrafice
range/accuracy for milsim looks... stupid stuff like that just comes to
me and i have to share... sorry

Barrel length doesn't really matter past 8".
But for millsim mods with really short barrels, it's a great idea. ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

It would be pointless, as you gain no accuracy with a barrel longer than 8". Also because all straight barrels shoot the same distance, there is no advantage to having a longer barrel.

the plastic gets stained easily by broken paint. They were made back in the day, they were absolute crap.

| i was thinking more along the lines of someone who wanted a 3 inch black barrel but still wanted to have a 12 in barrel if that makes sense... but i know what you mean about plastic getting stained and glass would break... it would basically be a cosmetic upgrade i guess... |

i get what you want. its a short barrel look without sacrificing the accuracy of a longer barrel, but the problem would be finding the right material. maybe there is a way to coat something clear so that it is completely sealed and pure even if you break the paint. you could always call some glass and plexiglass specialists about it by looking in the phonebook. Oh! a car windshield strengh material would work and you wouldn't get the stained problem. but it would be so impossible to make right. the threads woul have to match perfectly with the barrel. ultimately it would cost lots of the green paper stuff. |

made out of a car windsheild might not work you might end up hitting it on something and taking a chunk off it. also if a paintball hits your barrel there could be some damage ------------- Pain Is Weakness Leaving The Body
