Ok I am a cheap bugger. Now because of that my pod holder is some cheapo thing from walmart. It looks like this:

The problem with this pod holder is that it doesn't keep it's shape well. What I mean by that is when you take the pod out the pouch you had it in shrinks back to its original size so putting the pods back into the pouches is difficult while playing. I know most people say to just throw your pods on the ground and get them later, but I dont like to do that so I came up with an idea of how to make the pouches keep the shape of the pods while the pods are out. First what you do is take some tape and wrap it sticky side up around one of your pods about 3 times. I used hockey sock tape:

The reason you are wrapping the tape sticky side is so you can keep the shape of the pod without sticking anything to it. Next I put the same sock tape on top of the stickyside up tape, but this time I put it sticky side down.Wrap it around about 2 or 3 times. I did this to thicken up the "roll" of tape I am making on this pod. Next I took some hockey stick tape:

And I put it sticky side up onto the roll that I have created with sock tape. Wrap it around about twice and then slowly put your pod inside it's pouch. Stretch the pouch out and over top of the roll so that you get the tape roll about 6cm from the top of the pouch. Now to see if it worked pull you pod out and your roll of tape should be stuck to the inside of your pouch. Now I suggest you put your pod back in and let it side there for awhile just to make sure the tape gets stuck on there real good. There are porbably better ways of doing this, but this is just the way I did mine yesterday. This also makes you pod fit in your pouches nice and tight.

I would post some pictures of mine, but my camera is dead at the moment so I just found all of these on google. I will post some pictures of my holder later on today.

Never mind what I said I found a working camera so here are results:

You can see where the roll is here and what it looks like when the pods are in.

Here you can see what it looks like inside the pouch, but just to let you know why its red I used red stick tape instead of the black shown above.

And here you have the tape holding the pod shape.

One of my first ideas was to thread some wire through it to keep the shape, but I couldn't get it work so I decided to do this. It seems to have worked.

What it you wear the pods around the front so you can see the holder when you put the empty pod back in.  Or would it be too hard to crouch?

Yes and it's not the fact that I cant see the pouches it's because the pouch shrinks so it's harder to stick the pod back in.

He doesn't want to.

On the speedball field, it isn't a big deal.  On larger woodsball fields it can be.  I've played in areas that were heavily wooded and exceeded 100 acres.  On these fields if you didn't secure your pod when you were done you would very likely never see it again.  Now I make sure my pods are returned to the holder no matter where I am just because it is habit.

Of course, I'm the guy that pounces on pods left on the ground. This is because I've managed to lose my own in the woods due to having them unsecured in the first place. All my pod packs are filled, but I don't think any of them have the original pods anymore. They cycle in, they cycle out.

I found a pod before with a "return to ___" sticker attached to it. I just left
it there, but seriously, does the person actually expect people to return a
lost paintball pod that probably cost less then 5 dollars? I don't know,
maybe its just me, but I think its pointless to attach a sticker with your
name and adress to a paintball pod.
