I thought the kit was coming out next month or so? Might be worth it to just wait.

Okay, As I am mad impatent I took it up on myself to figure out how this mod is done. I 1st used a E-Trigger that fits a 98 custom & 98 custom pro . I chuked the old armature pin and made my own using a Pedal return spring I found @ checker auto parts part# 29002 / Dorman 705-149(Red HELP! lable) cutting it down to 3"7/8 . I then used a rotary tool to cut open the battery cut out on the receiver. and then cut open the holes on the rubber hand grip so I can access the ON switch and LED indicator. Then replaced the sear with the one that came in the E-Trigger upgrade kit. Put it all back toghether and (BAM) there U have it. (NOTE: the wires did not need to be spliced and made longer to fit as indicated in other how to forums) I hope this helps other impatent people as myself. LOL I wanted to add I used a 9V ULTRALIFE LITHIUM POWER battery and it lasts 5X longer than most. Happy hunting!!!

I e-mailed tippmann and they are NOT releasing an e-trigger upgrade kit for the Alpha Black. They also pushed the release of the e-gripped maker to July, and raised the price $20...

I just pre ordered myself the e-gripped marker... Cost will be $40 from pocket after I take out the e-grip and install in my older alpha, then sell the gun to a friend who wants to buy.

Better then spending the $99 on a 98 e-trigger...

Why? What logic would there be in not releasing an e-grip upgrade for
those of us who already own an Alpha Black? I would be really
dissapointed if they didn't come out with one. Plus, the E-ABT is
currently available to order at Tippmann Parts and its May...not July

Darkkrider, where did u get the m16 apex barrel with rails? Or did you
use a removable shroud and the lapco apex ready barrel? I'm curious
because I want an Apex barrel, but I want the rails like you have. The
M16 Apex from BT doesn't have the rails.
