I played alot back in 2002-2003 but fell off as I finished college...

I went and played last year once in 95 degree heat and the mask fogged: Dye invision mask with a brand new lens I purchased because it had been in my garage for a year or so unused.

I dont think I had fogging issues so much as I had sweat running down on to the lens. Used anti fog to no effect.

Is this due to the lens? should I just get a new one? what about the Foam? its starting to rub away at alot of parts could this be a cheap fix?

my brother had the same problem with the same mask(purchased in 2002 as well) and a brand new lens as well...

thanks for the help

If it was sweat, the best you can do is use a sweatband or bandanna.

You can also used antiperspirant on your forehead. I prefer my wifes Secret, it not only stops the sweat, but keeps me feeling fresh.

ok so the foam has nothing to do with wisking sweat away? and should I get a new lens after a year of not using it, or is it still good(new england winter and summer in a garage)?

In all seriousness, the foam will wick some of the sweat away, but at some point, like a sponge, it will saturate and begin to drip. I sweat like a pig and run into the same issue when its hot out. In addition to what Mack says, you can also make sure you dry the foam in between rounds. I can't imagine you should have to replace your lens every year unless you are playing crazy amounts and taking lots of mask hits.

Maybe consider purchasing a new mask?
