I desperatly need a hair cut so I am going to get one tomorrow.
I really like the look of these and I am probaby going to get it done anyways eventually to cut down on my number of hair cuts on basic officer training. I'm just not sure if I'd look good with it. Anyone get their hair cut like this? (forum Marines obviously) If I go to the local haircutters, are they going to understand what I mean by high and tight? What would be a good way to judge if this is a good haircut for me? ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

Then maybe I am talking about a close but different thing than a high and tight.
This would be one that is almost shaved down on the sides (still pretty short on sides but definately not bald) Then comes up to longer hair up top. It's pretty popular amoung officers at my cadet squadron. I couldn't find any pictures... too vague? ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

i wear a high and tight.... i think it looks alright. keeps the sgt happy and it's 6 bucks at my barbers. are you thinking of a high and tight or a flat top?

I can't picture a soldier with long hair and when I say long I mean 2+ inches. Comparing a squared away haircut like a high and tight to a mullet? Ludicrous! Then again, I never really gave two sheets about what other people thought of my hairstyle and I never thought I was in some fashion show either. Ahh, I'll probably just get it cut really short.

Got a #2 in sides and back, #3 over top. She left my bangs a bit longer and it looks pretty good.

LOL Reno 911 is one of the best shows on TV.
I never wore a High & Tight outside of Paris Island. Only Boots (noobs) got those in the Fleet. I would get a Low Reg or a shape up around the back and ears. And had my top at the max length of 3 inches. I wasnt called Evil Elvis for just my Singing Tallents. I used to have to line my Covers (hats for you hippies) in clear plastic wrap because I used Crown Royal hair grease. To slick my hair back. Even rocked a Tom Selleck like Mustache while in Jungle Warfare school. -------------

I had a buddy that always got a high and tight, but when time came for the Birthday Ball, he would get a horse shoe. Which, are out of regs now...so it a low reg.
