Guys, just so we're clear I am not selling for any shop.  I am not a dealer or retailer of any kind.

Now to the point.  Almost everyone on this forum recommends popular sites and yes, the web sites mentioned here are great but if we can afford it, everyone should consider spending the extra few bucks to support their local stores.  It takes money for them to help us keep playing.

That's it.  Thanks.

I agree if you have a local shop to try and patronize them, especially if you are asking them for technical/repair help. Unfortunately, some of us are located just West of nowhere and have to rely on internet stores.

I'd love to support my local proshop. But they gouge! When they charge $50.00 for a riser I can by on the web for $15.00 they're not gonna get to much of my buisness.

I totally agree.  The point is when possible to support them.

Of course if it is not possible, then the deals off the Net are amazing.  Alternately, local stores that gouge don't deserve our support anyway, so you're covered.

Although aparently, from some posts there are people who disagree...Loyalty eans nothing to them and that's the type that doesn't deserve our loyalty or support.

Sorry that was uncalled for.  Politely put though it was.

I only buy paint from our local store.  The guys there arent the smartest.

I wasnt home for a couple of days, so my dad took his loaner spyder there because it was leaking and not recocking.  The guy "fixes" it.

He brings it home and it doesnt shoot.  I look at it..... the bolt is in backwords somehow, and o-rings are missing.

They try selling me and my friend Ions whenever we just want to look at stuff .  The one time, he was trying to convince a kid to get an EOS over a used 06 Ego, and the EOS was of course, over priced at the store.

I'm lucky enough to have an excellent local store that is run by a guy and his step-son. I'm not sure how they do it, but the marker and paint prices are as good as anywhere online (sometimes less!) He also sent my A5 in to Tippmann for free, even though I originally bought it from Dick's. It's definitely up to us as players to keep people like this in business. If they can make a living while providing us with on-site service at fair prices, everybody wins. It's all about building a community.

There is an awesome little store out here too.

My Aunt sent me a used 98c ACT for my birthday.  Well the e-trigger was acting up really bad so I took it there, and he fixed it for free.   Or so we both thought.  I ended up taking it back to the store three times because he couldn't figure out what was wrong.  (He would mess with the solenoid and the board and it would work great at the store, but when I was shooting at home it kept red lighting on me for no reason.)

He finally figured out what the problem was and now it works great.  He told me how to fix it if it does start doing the same thing again also.  He didn't charge me a dime for any of it either.

I am always going to buy from that store now.  On certain things they are a little bit more expensive than shopping online, but for the customer service I get when I'm there, its worth it.  Most of the prices on their guns are either the same as online, and sometimes cheaper.

You know, I think what you said Archon has a lot of merit. http://www.plaistowarmynavystore.com/ - Plaistow Army & Navy is where I go. Great people to deal with and nice prices. It was also the only place aside from heading to Boston that I could find http://www.shop4paintball.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDESC=N&ProductCode=05TIBSDTACRAIL - Tiberius Arms Side Tac Rails for my AK-98 mod. I support them as much as I can like I am now, 'cause great stores like that should never fail. To hell with the large retailers. It's the Mom & Pop store's that really take care of you. At least that's how it's always been for me.
