So, Allfats' thread inspired me. After the tragic incident with Tallen, I feel it is only right to remember and honor him. He was a great person with much knowledge, love, fun, and great food(remember, he was a chef) to share. So, the point of this thread is to remember Tallen. Feel free to quote old threads(involving Tallen, obviously) filled with good memories of tallen. Pictures would be good as well. RIP Tallen -------------

I wonder if his restaurant will stay open. I'd like to visit there this summer to pay tribute to his family. Tallen was always a boundless bucket of knowledge. Drowning is such a terrible way to die for such a good man. ------------- X |

I did an ocean kayaking course once, and one of the guys in the class got stuck in his kayak for a second or two when we were doing rolls. In a sea kayak you're supposed to sort of...pop out halfway through a roll, pretty much automatically, but for whatever reason he didn't. That wasn't anything serious, but I could see how this could happen, especially if he was whitewater rafting. He will be missed. I can't even begin to imagine what his new fiance is going through

I just got off the Phone with Erin. She's starting to come to terms.
I suggested that we auction off one of his old junky obsolete Cockers to pay some of the cost of the funeral arrangements. There is also going to be a rare OMHW reunion for the event. Please keep the thread civil I don't think he'd like his memorial thread turned into a Flame fest. This is the last warning. -------------
