P.S. Storms coming in and I glanced outside just to see an awesome bolt of lightning, it would of made a bad ass picture.

I used to really want a zippo. Then I thought about it and realized my disposable lighter works just fine and is a fraction of the price.

I don't smoke, zippos are way better for starting fires and stuff. Wind isn't a problem. I usually buy a pack of bics for lighting fireworks around the 4th though, otherwise it would become costly, you just can't use the zippo for everything.

What a waste of money.

Bics are useless for lighting fireworks and I couldn't see zippos being much better.

I use either a punk or:

That is obnoxious. And those jet lights always break for me, but they are sick up until that point.

Yah, those gas lighters break all the time. I would like it for fireworks, but I don't want to put the money into that. I just use the bics, but I always tend to get hit by fuse sparks when using the bics. I wish I didn't have to be so close to the fuse. The punks don't work well on rainy days.

I use a one of long lighters that everybodys mom uses to light candles, for fire works. And to light fires I just pour camp stove fuel, or gas all over it, then some on a stick, light the stick and throw it in.

That giant zippo would be outrageously expensive. But it's cool.

Yeah, I've had a few of those jet lighters for work...they are great at shrinking heat-shrink tubing. But I can never keep one working for any length of time. Does anyone know of a good one that will last?

Couple guys at work have one of those. Took two cans of lighter fluid to fill it up. I had a picture of them lighting their cigs with it. somewhat comical.

I like the zippo because it still has that reliable start with the flint. The normal butane lighters only have problems with them lighting. The gas will always come out, just it won't light after so long.

Most of what you guys can except no firecrackers or 500g fireworks (though most contain firecrackers within them)

Firecrackers are the biggest difference but there are quite a few more.

Ditto.

Zippos are nicely built lighters. I dont smoke, and dont need one, but I do have one(inheritance so it does have a little more than just a "cool" value).

Also, my dad has a zippo about the size of a nickel. I dont think its zippo brand but is nifty nonetheless.
