Here is a tid bit I picked up at X-7OG from Yankee Division Paintball player Teabag.
Well...I have some news for you all... I was at ION this past weekend and spent a little time in the Tippmann tent (they are my sponsor afterall...). Here is what I learned: 1. the new pistol is electro-pneumatic 2. they did a ton of research online and face to face from customers about what they liked and didn't like about other popular pistols 3. they are hoping to debut at the World Cup (I am not sure of the date of that event). 4. they are hoping to start shipping in late Oct/early Nov. 5. the pistols parts are going into production any day now. 6. it should not be any more expensive than the Tiberius pistol...maybe cheaper. here's the big one that got me excited... 7. the technology put into this gun could change a lot of things about tippmann markers in future guns Sorry if this is nothing new, but we pressed and pressed and this is all we could get outta them Cheers! -------------

electro-pneumatic. seriously, tell me that you are joking. that is quite possibly the lamest thing that tippmann could do to a pistol. I cant think of any practical reason why it would be needed. And lastly, I dont want to be hooking up any batteries to my pistol. I therefore declare shenannigans on you! |

You are right Bravecoward, a lot of markers do, especially pistols. There was a ridiculous rumor floating around that the pistol was going to be electro-pneumatic and it reached most forums. The place that the battery was going to go, according to the rumor, was under the barrel. The pistol will have the CO2 Under the barrel. |
