So yesterday I got a good deal on a 98c with response trigger.  Got it for $25 so I thought it was a great deal.  It shoots ok if just shooting single shots, but when trigger is held back it shoots fast and then the hammer goes back to its off position so I cant shoot anymore without cocking it back again.

I was going to take it to a shop to get it checked out but I thought Id check here first.

I dont think its the co2 because it was a fresh tank of gas.

i just bought a brand new a5 with response trigger and am having a similar problem.  shooting single shots works fine but when i hold the trigger down, sometime the piston for the RT seems to go back into its off position and i have to fully release the trigger and pull it again to make the response work so any help on this issue would be great.  i dont want to send the gun back.

You need to adjust it to find the spot that you can hold down about 1/2 way through the pull. If your holding the trigger down entirely then the sear probably isn't resetting, causing the marker to mis-fire. Play around with the settings a little and you should be able to get it.
