so i want to hit it up one weekend maybe beginning of august or early fall.

Something tells me you don't know much if anything about actual hockey beyond Detroit. Even Toronto has won more cups than Detroit..ouch. Unlike you, I'm a fan of good hockey and have enjoyed watching a variety of teams - including Detroit - win the cup; you sound like a detroit fan, not a hockey fan. Wonder what the stats are when it's the olympics and each player is playing for his own country, or the world championships, or the world juniors...hmmm.  ------------- Imagine there’s a picture of your favourite thing here. |

Well the last Canadian team to win was Montreal in 92-93. Out of the 6 Canadian teams, within the next few years, the only teams I can see having a legitimate shot at the cup is Ottawa and Montreal. Then again, Philly went from being last in the league last season, to the Eastern Conference Finals this season. So maybe there is hope for Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. But I wouldn't get my hopes up. They already don't have a good chance just because they are greatly outnumbered by American teams. Those teams' recent performances, plus the other 24 American teams, don't really give them good odds to win. This isn't about Canadian players, this about the Canadian teams. International performance doesn't mean jack when you're talking about the cup. Actually this isn't about hockey, its about some "dead" guys restaurant. I'd still like for a Canadian to pick me up. I'd love to talk hockey for hours. |

Canadian teams have the best fans though.
It doesn't matter how bad the leafs are doing, the Air Canada Centre (where they play) will always be packed full. Everytime montreal wins a game, there will always be riots in the streets for celebration. ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

If I still lived in WW, I'd be happy to drive Pariel and Bolt3 to the shindig. Alas... I left NJ and won't ever move back. Parents are still in Allentown though.
Given that Tallen is deceased, I'd still happily meet folks at the restaurant. Too easy for me, given it's only a 20min drive. |
