I've been modding this one for a month now, and this is what I've come up with so far. I'm
trying to keep the modifications to give it a good scenario game for more urban gaming, and
keeping the black style of the gun intact. It's also a lot easier to switch the 12' lapco for a 14
inch if i need to do some quick longer range battles in the middle of the field.

Mods:
APE (Rhythm Innovations) A-5 E-GRIP PRO TRIGGER SYSTEM
ATN Compact Digital Ultra Reflex Sight
Lapco Snapshot Tippmann A-5 2-Piece Paintball Barrel .689 12
SPECIAL OPS A-5/X7 COCKING HANDLE UPGRADE
Tippmann A-5 FLATTOP RAIL
Tippmann Dogleg Air-Thru Stock RH
Tippmann X-7 Hopper
Tech T Tippmann Cyclone Vortex MOD

Running a remote system on CO2 at the moment, no reg, no expansion yet.

Review:

I've played a few days with this gun, ran over 1000 balls so far chop free. Upgraded to the X-7
after being tagged on the hopper 3-4 times already with such a large target area on the OEM
hopper. Lapco Snapshot is an amazing barrel, longer range, and straighter shot. The special
ops cocking lever is much more sturdier, but wiggles a little. Red Dot sight is amazing as well
at 50-ft, i can cluster shots within a diameter of 2 quarter. If you really want an accurate rig, i
suggest using the Tippmann Dog Leg, it offsets the stock so that you can see straight down
the line of the gun and shoot a TON more easily, or you can do the offset. I haven't offset the
hopper; has an awkward bent feeling to the gun.

Dog Leg kit from Tippmann is "hard" to install. The braided lines scratched the body of the
tippmann (above the assay hookup) when you "HAVE TO" loop the braided wire backwards
within the fore grip in a tight enclosure. I'm pretty pissed off at that, trying to find a way to
touch that up a little. That's one of the reasons I didn't use the A-5 A2 Foregrip.

Future Upgrades:

I'm not adding any magazine kits, adds more area for being tagged. I have the A-5 A2 Foregrip
(MP Mag), but have not installed it yet. I'm fairly good with the stock grip at the moment; the
stability is very good that way. I will test stability of A-5 A2 Foregrip (MP Mag) in the next few
weeks to see which one is easier to fire more accurately and faster.

I'm looking into a sniper conversion using Tippmann Straightline Barrel Kit A5 & X7 16", I'm
waiting on reviews on this barrel to see if this 150.00 barrel is really worth the buy. Also
reading up on EOTech's holographic site (different from red dot), and may upgrade to that
because you can break the lens or have stuff on the lens with no problem, and it would still
function perfectly fine.

let me know whatcha guys think.

How much additional range do you get from those two extra inches of barrel?

Actually, my bad . . . he specified swapping between a 12 foot barrel and a 14 inch barrel.
