...you get 2 day shipping for a package and it's day 6 after the package was shipped and still no package?  There's no tracking number on it either.

Anybody know if it's possible to get USPS to locate a shipment with no tracking number?

If it gets here eventually I'm going to try to get my money back.  Wonder if that will even be possible.

How did they ship it, USPS?  UPS or Fed Ex is usually really good about tracking numbers and getting it there on time but with USPS it's a crapshoot sometimes.

Also, when did you order it?  If you ordered it on Thursday afternoon chances are they didn't get the order until Monday morning with the holiday and all...assuming they are in the US.  Then they process it and it goes out Monday night meaning Tuesday is day one...

...but still...you should have it by now regardless.

Yea, USPS sucks when it comes to tracking.  If it is still like it was when I ran an online store USPS tracking numbers don't do squat until after they have been delievered...why?  I have no idea.  Seems kind of useless to me which is why I shipped UPS.  Yea, it's more expensive but you get up to date tracking, $100 of insurance, and if they don't deliever Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air on time you get refunded the shipping amount.

The person wasn't even given a tracking number in the first place...

I've actually always had good luck with USPS.  I've had things shipped all the way from California as a 2 day package arrive the next day.  This is my first problem, but it will probably be my last.

USPS is the most hit and miss shipping service I've used. That said, they are also the cheapest.

What is it you got shipped?

Yeah, I've had two packages that I've shipped arrive significantly late in the past 6 months. I would do UPS, but the closest UPS store is at least a 30 minute drive away when the post office is right down the street.
