hi guys i have a 98c and some how i miss placed my valve screws and my velocity was bouncing around it went from 232 and then it dropped down to 210 and so on. i replaced those screws and my velocity is still doing that. and the screw that makes the velocity go up and down doesn't work. any suggestions?

your velocity screw might be broken

^^
how do you break a screw? (a velocity screw anyways)

make sure the velocity screw is in there and if your using co2 that can happen sometimes. an expansion chamber would help the problem is simply that your using co2.

with CO2, it's quite common to have spikes in velocity, it's just the nature of the beast. CO2 needs time to turn into a gas, if it's not given enough time, you shoot liquid CO2, and the liquid is more dense than the gas---voila! velocity spike.
i used to walk up to the chrono with my old 98 and shoot three shots and they'd be 260, 240, 250, etc. I wouldn't worry about it. now if you can't get the gun to shoot under 300fps, then you have a problem.

Make sure your valve isn't stripped, that caused my gun to do that. Got a new vavle and it fixed the problem.
