I posted before on some issues with my remote, but it was before I did more thorough testing.

I am having issues with the RT and Cylone cycling when using the remote.  With a fully filled tank, using the remote, the marker does not go full auto with the RT even with it turned up/down. Best I can get maybe 3-4 shot bursts. I have oiled the slide check and turned the knob on the remote in, out etc with little to no effect.

I tried taking the x-chamber off and put the asa adapter for the remote into the vertical adapter and tried that seeing if using both was the issue. Nominal difference. I can get closer to full auto, but the Cyclone is still intermitant.

I also tried putting the tank straight into the vertical adapter without the x-chamber or remote and not good results.

Lastly, I took the remote off, put the x-chamber back on, screwed the tank directly into the ASA and it works great.

Obviously, the easiest solution is to lose the remote, but I really like not having the tank on the gun and using a stock.

Also, I have tried taking the slide check off of the remote and it made no difference either. The remote is not a micro line, but it seems like it is starving the marker. Yesterday I ordered the larger fittings for the Rt/Cyclone, but guessing this probably won't help.

Any suggestions? Is there something that I am missing?

maybe the remote is defective.

I have considered that, but not sure how to go about proving it.

test it on another gun. it seems that the remote is restricting the airflow or something. if you have another 98 or someone you know has a 98 see if they'll loan it to ya to test it out. test it without the remote. then attach the remote see if changes anything.

Just got my chrono yesterday, along with the larger hoses for the RT/Cyclone. I also removed the adaptor for the stock and replaced it with the stock plug. I went to the garage, and living dangerously, tried the remote. And now it is suddenly working! Full auto capability and it chronoed easily at 280.

After I started to think about it, I realized something Mack mentioned in another thread and measured the depth of the spring hole on the  mount for the stock. Here is what I don't get, it was actually shallower than the stock plug. Wouldn't this increase the FPS? I than took the marker back apart, put the stock mount back in and tried it again. Without any adjusting to the FVA, it was shooting at 240-250. I was able to get it back up to 280, with adjusting the FVA out.

Am I misunderstanding? Shouldn't the shallower hole for the spring have actually have raised the FPS, not decreased it? I don't get it.

it should have. maybe the wider r/t hose had something to do with it?

what sort of tank are you using... im not sure but tippmanns eat gas and you need high pressure for better performance but dont quote me on that.  if its a crossfire tank does it have a blue or red leabel near the top

I am running Co2 and the larger lines were put on prior to testing today. Granted, I am glad it's working, but I really want to be able to know why.
