I got my hands on it yesterday, it's really nice. The thing's so mega light though, it almost feels too flimsy, but I wield a beast of a gun so.... I do want to try it in the field and see how it plays out. It's got potential I think.

I'd take a Tac One over that any day of the week.

Por que, senor? So you can drop some extra cash for a slightly older, but similar design?

Because the Tac One is a mech marker by AGD.  The BT is just a mil sim'd Invert Mini.

And.... the problem with that would be...?

Wouldn't the BT be more like a mil-simmed 98 (albeit with internal airline)?  The Mini is an entirely different mechanism.

No, I believe that it is electropneumatic (which brings up the question of why stormyknight would prefer a mech sear tripper?)

Can't BT make their own electropneumatic?

The BT TM7 paintball gun is the new hotness in the paintball world, in utilizes both speedball and woodsball into one sick gun. The TM7 paintball gun uses Mini Technology which is currently used by world class tournament paintball teams so you know your gun can keep up in the speedball arena. BT also customized it to their liking to fit into the woodsball style of play as well as adding their unique adjustable stock, sight rail and adjustable front grip. This thing is a tactical paintballers dream. It brings you the sleek look of some of BT's other tactical paintball guns but with unheard of woodsball fire power. Another very unique featured seen only in a few high end guns is the internal hosing which means no macro hosing on the outside of your gun, no more blown macro hosing!

The BT TM-7 utilizes Mini Technology to inflict maximum force from a marker of minimal size. Don’t be fooled by the size of the TM-7’s exterior; it can hang with the big boys and is by no means a lightweight. Once you hold one and pull the trigger, you won’t want to put it down. Its lightweight, yet durable construction is perfect for close quarters or long-range combat. This is the marker that just may have people rethink the way they looked at Mil-Sim paintball markers.
Features:

  • Mini Technology Inside
  • Shift-On-The-Fly, 4-Position Mode Switch
  • Multiple, Extensive Firing Modes Including Semi/Burst/Full-Auto
  • Multiple Picatinny Rails Allow For Extra Accessories
  • Adjustable, Multi-Position Stock
  • Collapsible/Adjustable Front Grip
  • Low Pressure Operation
  • No External Hoses; Internal Airline Operation
  • Additional Modes: NPPL/PSP/NXL/Millennium
  • Universal Mini-Style Barrel Threads

What's wrong with sear-tripping markers?  There are plenty of them out there that work just fine.  The Tac One (like other X-Mags) is a nice performing marker that can have fairly nice rates of fire that can rival an electro.

well i went and checked it out and there is one major con.  The exterior is pure plastic which does not give a good feel in my hands.  Kinda wondering why they didnt go wih a balistic nylon like SP did on their new one.  it has a nice feel as far as the  size goes though.  and it is indeed cocker threaded (why they switched it up from the A5 threading is beyond me). It seemed like a nice gun but i may have to wait to see some first hand in use reviews.  I would also like to see a rip clip or something other than what is on there come out.

Because it is excatly like an Invert Mini inside only the outer shell is milsim. And Mini uses Auto-Cocker threads, as simple as that buddy. Nothing to get someone beyond himself!

Well from what I understand its not just a plastic on the outside its suppose to be carbon fiber at least thats what I was told by BT. BT also told me that a adapter for the Rip Clip would be out with in the next couple months. My bet is that they will make a low profile hopper or something for it.  The store in my area has one on order for me, they only got 6 in and they all sold that day . As soon as I get my hands on it and get to play ill let yall know what I think.

I went and looked at it again and really liked the feel.  It is very light weight and while the plastic/carbon fiber is a bit iffy for me I can't dis it until I see it in action or know a few people with first hand experience.  Really I like it too because it is a 1:1 with the MP7 and that is pretty cool.  PLus I have the barrel for it and the 8" would look perfect in there especially if I get a mock silencer.  The other nice part will be a rip clip since I love the offset part with an X7 hopper (yes they go fit the rip clip) and some of the events my team has been looking at require 1. a milsim aor realistic looking marker and 2 you have to use a pod or a tac cap and with this i could use either and it would be nice and compact for urban combat.  It is up in the air.  Maybe I will get it for myself for graduation.  I graduate in a few weeks for my bachelors and I dont know a better way to celebrate other than a new paintball marker.
