my a-5 had been working fine for a while, but recently it has started blending up my paintballs. i'm pretty sure the cyclone is blending them up but i cant figure out why. seems to be operating fine the times it isn't blending paint. is it because my cyclone is not upgraded? and i'm using a r/t? i'm not shooting over 10 bps so i don't think its that. any help is appreciated.

Check the ratchet for wear.  If the edge is even a little rounded, this will result.

Rambino - the ratchet isn't worn and neither are the other parts, i checked everything. i completely disassembled the cyclone and cleaned all the paint out of it.

EE - i think the paint was draxxus midnights. and i had just purchased it from the field that day.

slackerr - maybe 2 or 3 hours, not nearly long enough to affect the paint. it would have to be there for a long time.

I have had a similar problem with some midnights.  might have just been a bad batch.  try a higher end and see if it works better.
