No, actually if you are going to make jokes like that I'll just tell you that he died in a car accident while he was intoxicated this weekend. It was a dumb decision and I thought that the news wouldn't leave PBC but I guess it would have eventually. He will be sorely missed by our local group of friends, although maybe not this forum. -------------

A simple news article or a picture of the little thing in the newspaper telling the city who died and such. I never really had anything against Bland. But I honestly don't see why he would want sympathy from a bunch of goons on a website he supposedly never even liked in the first place... Again, proof of death and I will sympathize. How about a snapshot of his grave. If you where such good friends with him, I'm sure that would be easy to accomplish. Proof of death surely isn't that hard. I mean, there are so many ways... |

White, this is the internet. No body is going to believe you until you provide proof. PBC has faked many deaths before, and no body wants to be the target of a bad joke. If you're really that great of friends with him, then you'll be sure to take pictures at his funeral. If you have the pictures, you might as well post them up on the forum for the people that cannot attend the funeral. That would be the nice thing to do in the first place, no? |

I wasn't originally going to post in this thread because I too am suspicious that the whole thing might be a prank. That said; prank or not, I do not believe in speaking ill of the dead. It is both rude and pointless. Rude in that the individual in question can't defend themselves and it adds additional pain for those who knew the individual. Pointless in that the subject of such comments is beyond caring about them.
I also have no sympathy for drunk drivers. However, they do not automatically deserve to die. They deserve to lose their license, pay hefty fines and go to jail. If, only if, they are repeat offenders who have taken the lives of others while driving under the influence do they deserve consideration for the death penalty.

Way ahead of you, Mack. I checked the Richmond Examiner, the police blotter and the local PD website as well as a MADD site this AM. I come up with zero. Some local guy bought it in Myrtle beach. That's all.

An officer who pulled me over and was a complete gave us crap about everything possible. Although, I guess he was cool considering he let my friend (driver) go, despite having a warrant for his arrest. -------------
