I'm trying to take all my itunes songs and put them on my new computer with my external hard drive. I plugged the sucker in, and vista read the drive and said it was compatable. But when I go to my computer, theres nothing there. Just the internal. Now, i KNOW the computer is reading it, because it did the checklist to make sure it was okay (and passed), and it makes the connect/disconnect noice when I turn it on and off.
Any ideas?

I'm actually having the same problem on my Desktop. (Windows XP) Except it's with my digital camera. Otherwise, same exact scenario.

I'm considering just lighting it on fire.

Kind of on a similar note, I noticed in the past that my CD-R drive wouldn't be detected by Windows if Daemon-Tools was enabled to start when Windows started.
Back to the OT, maybe there was a recent update that broke this. I've never had any sort of problems like this before regarding USB devices. I've tried restarting, and tried a number of different ports, but it still won't allow me to access the camera from My Computer.
Works fine on my laptop though...

I finally fixed the issue I had. For some reason, it started working again after screwing around with the registry to remove a few old mapped network drives. It seems that Windows was trying to assign the flash drive the same drive letter as one of my network drives.
