I've been watching CNN and all they have talked about for the past 48 hours
is Joe Biden. Im curious to know how some of you all feel about Obama's
choice. Will it help or hurt?

I think it is a solid choice for Obama, but when your VP says you aren't ready for the job I would be somewhat hesitant.

Here's where Biden will hurt Obama. Obama chose Biden in an attempt to curtail the "no experience" and "no foreign policy experience" nay-saying. However, choosing a VP that can cover for those flaws is admitting that you aren't as proficient in those areas as you should be to be president. Picking Biden because he understands the game of international politics to cover for Obama's own lack of experience in that realm will be seen as a declaration that he is indeed not ready to play on the world stage.

Yeah, I think that is pretty disgusting how Mcain's camp had that like, ready
to go right when he chose Biden.

Apparently you need to be an expert on everything to be president. /s

Which is why you surround yourself with experts from different fields. Biden was a good choice for Obama, IMO. No one seems to be calling McCain out on the fact that he can't use a computer though.

Haha. McCain's ad seems to have taken it's desired effect on you.

If Biden didn't think he was ready now then he wouldn't accept the job.

The quote I heard from Obama was that he wants a VP that is indipendant of him, and will tell him something is a bad idea if the situation arises. It sounds like he might have found a good person to do just that.

Anyone else catch how he chose a man who looks like he's in his last years of life as a VP when he's running against a man in the same situation. This could be nothing more than choosing a guy based on his looks to appeal to the older/conservative demographic.

Just wondering, how the heck can you stop file sharing? You might as well shut down the internet.

This seems a bit naive.  It's about politics (on both sides of the political fence), not personal belief/integrity.

That's kind of the idea behind being anti-net neutrality.

I think Obama's giving Joe's wife some tongue . . . and I want to know where Joe's other hand was going when this pic was taken.

this might be a good start...

Quote Biden signed a letter that urged the Justice Department "to prosecute individuals who intentionally allow mass copying from their computer over peer-to-peer networks."

Quote In April, he proposed spending $1 billion in U.S. tax dollars so police can monitor peer-to-peer networks for illegal activity.

Ugh. I'm feeling kind of torn right now. Net Neutrality is a huge issue to me. I really can't understand how someone could be against it. I still think that Obama is a way better choice than McCain though. I'd take him any day over some war-mongering, out-of-touch old geezer.

In before "Ron Paul 08".

Yea, you can start there, but you can't keep everyone from transferring music, movies, games, and programs. It seems like it will just be a never-ending battle to me.

regardless, I don't want to see a step in that direction...
